I'm about a 20-30 minute ride away from Benton's- they're about at the top of the heap for pork (smoked hams, etc.), and KNOWN for their bacon! Baconnaise (bacon flavored mayonnaise) is awesome. Everything dipped in it tastes like bacon. It's the only way I can eat from a veggie platter. www.jdfoods.net has everything from bacon salt, bacon ranch dressing & bacon popcorn to my favorite - bacon flavored chapstick. My last meal will be bacon-wrapped bacon, sprinkled with bacon bits. | ||

I love Bamburg beer. They smoke the barley and wheat in the same smoke as the bacon. Tastes like a bacon milkshake. Goes great with a good cigar. | ||

Well- given that it's bigger than you, and lived a shorter life eating other stuff, I'd be cautious too. Just mop it thoroughly, whist on the spit, with the proper sauce. All will be well. (Message edited by 86129squids on April 14, 2012) | ||
