Thanks! I sold my 1980 xl125 (with modded xr200 motor on it) 2 years ago and bought this for my wife as her twinstar 200 with a 4 speed wasn't cutting it anymore. I have grown to love this blast as much as I do my firebolt but figured it could use some simple changes to make her look a little more like the beast she is. I also just did the judder spring mod and wow.. what a difference that made. |

I hate to admit to any lack of intelligence, but WTF's "the judder spring mod"? Plus - what difference in what did it make? I musta missed the memo, or sumpthin'. |

Ahhh! "learn something everyday" I didn't know such a thing even existed - sounded like it was along the lines of "Johnson rod" or "muffler bearing". Judder spring - whaddyaknow. Thank you, thank you very much |

thats what I said... Judder spring just sounds fake. If a mechanic suggested it to me I would have asked for my bike back instantly. A search on "grenade plate" showed me something completely different. the judder spring I installed went in before clutch plates in a groove at the back of the basket. The same number of steel/friction plates went back in |

Any pictures of this "non-grenade plate". Now I'm even more curious |

I looked for pictures before I ordered it and found none. Of course once I had it in my hand I no longer needed pictures. The headlight guard was military surplus. |

Got it off eBay in a pair. Second one is yours if you want it. I also have the lower halves of the fork gaitors if anyone is interested. |

Those headlight stone/rock guards, you can get at automotive stores as well as off-road places(and yes to on-line sites as well if you live too far away).Had them on several vehicles through the years.LT |

I actually looked around a while before finding 7" stone guards.. These worked out great as the mounts that came with it flipped backwards and lined up perfectly with the trim ring mounting screws |
