>>>whilst Erik was stuck in a "parade"...:

The very parade that got he and I on "double super probation" at Harley-Davidson after he ran around naked on national television.

I rode to PA from KS . . . after getting a last minute call.

Got 3 tickets in Ohio that trip.

Got a nice write up about the riding stunt I pulled on John Shreck (Ducati 916) when we went into a corner and I leaned by bags on to him.

Also the day I pulled the dumbest stunt I've ever pulled on a motorcycle.

I'm older and, by all rights, should be wiser.

Damnit.

I fell in love with Jim Thorpe, PA that day . . gorgeous area.

I'm actually planning on heading over that way soon . . . it's just getting too darn nice. . . . Toona has that breakfast place where you can eat and not need breakfast again for a week. I've never had a bad meal in PA.

I remember seeing Suzy-Q when she was just a frame that came back from Rowe Engineering. The extra brace was welded in by them, and they stripped all the paint and then had the frame nickel plated. When Jay Hawley first but it back together, he didn't use the stock speedo and tach. Instead, he used a very lightweight bicycle speedometer. It's the kind of bike that the more you look, the more changes over stock you'll find. The aluminum oil tank, the newer aluminum swing arm, the air cleaner, the Millenium nikasil cylinders, etc. Jay put a lot of good ideas and hard work into the bike; and it shows. Runs pretty fast, too.
