Returned from Daytona yesterday AM. Posted that I would rather take the truck next time yesterday PM. The Uly must have heard me 'cause I took the truck to work this AM & on the way home it crapped out on me. I made it home with steam boiling from the rad' & the temp gauge pegged on "H". I think the Uly sabotaged the truck! Long story long. I need a new radiator. Ordered one from e-bay (the cheapest) I will be on the Uly exclusively for the next week. As I said, thanks goodness I have a bike or I would be bussing it 15 miles to & from work each day. Chris C |

I'd have spent $2 on a can of black pepper and let the thing idle for an hour. Worth a shot.. I've seen it fix many leaking radiators. |

Unfortunately, the top blew off of the rad' right where the top hose connects. There is no way to reconnect the hose as the (plastic) bracket is cracked thru to the core. I tried epoxying it but it just won't hold as there is not enough surface area to secure the hose clamp. it's 12 years old, so I have no complaints really. A new rad' was $65.00 shipped & I can install it myself. I'm just happy I have the bike to ride. Chris C |
