I'm pissed. But nothing comes easy in life. This is only one battle in the war. Glad KTM did fairly well.

Danny and Geoff are pushing the limits of what the 1190s can do. They are both great sports. Erik is well. The Hero guys are just starting to experience the Buell culture. It is great to see their support. I jinxed Danny yesterday. Geoff looks great. We are chillin in the campground watching the chrome clowns parade around. Great weekend! Perfect weather and a good crowd in support of EBR!!! : D

Dannys bike was supposedly electrical.

As I said elsewhere, you are not going to run in the top 10 in AMA superbike if you have *any* margin left on the table.

The EBR team scored a 6th and 9th in the first two races of the season, with new bikes and a new rider and a new pit crew.

Thats an exceptional result!

Yes it is, along with other riders/teams, with a similar situation, Pegram, Rapp, Herrin, among others, as an example.

A great start to what looks like another great season of racing ahead.

Congratulations to all of the riders, AMA, teams, & sponsors!

That is a great result. It would have been great to not have the serious set backs, but that's racing. Hopefully the setbacks aren't symptomatic of what this season will be like. Still a great result from a tiny company!

What was up with Eslick's crash...... Looked like the front brake locked up and the wheel tucked. Scary

Not sure? I'm watching the 200 now and they showed him crashing. I didn't rewind it. It looked to be on one of Eriks bikes?

Did anyone appreciate the coverage by SpeedTV? I kept wondering how fast are the bikes going, what RPM are they pulling, etc, etc. In return I hear talk about some racer's grandfather's club feet. They need to put Greg White and Jason Pridmore in the booth!

Exciting finishes to both the 200 and the ASBK Race #2. Would bave been great to see Disalvo take the 200 on the Triumph.

Awesome to see Shawn, a privateer in the purest terms take 17th.

Was rooting for Pat to beat the girl. Her pit stops allowed her to fend him off. He beat her on the track though. Nice race Mr. Mooney!

I'm rooting for EBR all the way and remain positive and enthusiastic, but two DNFs is a disheartening; I can't agree that the results are exceptional. They are disappointing. Geoff's six place in race #1 and Danny's strong rally after early lap difficulties in race 2 are encouraging for sure. Not that it will do anything but elevate the team to try that much harder. Daytona is a very harsh mistress.

Putting the whoopin' on the factory KTM team is sweet.

I agree about the 200 Blake. As a Triumph owner it woulda been great if he could have gotten it, but it was still an amazing come back, 2 years in a row on 2 different bikes. DiSalvo can ride, he just has to eliminate the mental errors he's had. I've decided to be a DiSalvo fan so I'll have someone to root for in DSB.

I agree as well with Blakes statement. Blake, I think they announced once how fast they were going 203 from Hayes bike other then that not a bit. As far as Pridmore in the booth ?? The man is busy in the Jordan camp. He announced but not a whole lot.

They had a bike with Jason's name on it and he was doing some sort of ceremonial ride or something . . . who ever thought I'd see both him AND his dad appearing in my life time as "former race greats".

Court,

Actually Jason still works for MJ. Hes there rider Coach if that makes sense. He also rides the team bikes during testing so he can get a better feel for what the riders are talking about and when giving feed back. I know they also have a bike and I'll bet its the one you seen that has a two up seat on it. He gives fans and the like rides. Great group they are.

Any word on what caused the broken valve? I'm very curious if it was being run to hard (geared to low?) or if there may be a design issue that needs to be addressed.

I still think getting a 6th place is fantastic for a bike this new, especially from a tiny company like EBR. Great job on that end of things. Yes the 2 failures is worrisome, but if they are both found to not be due to design flaws this can be dealt with.

Yes, Jason does still work for Jordan . . .hence the bike.

I always enjoy seeing him and still, to this day, feel bad about him breaking his leg during the time he came to Topeka to stay with us. That, as some of you will recall, came the year he got his first "big ride" and missed the entire season.

I still have the award he and his Dad gave me and they are both wonderful folks. I'm thrilled to see Jason staying involved.

Motors will be run again on Wednesday.

More than 2 failures... Cause of valve related failures is it's just the nature of a Ti valve heated to exhaust temps and slammed against the seats.
