Um, it has a Sportster headlight? And what appears (to my eyes) to be a 45" wheelbase? |

get that front fender offa der - it is worthless in the muddy mucky chunky dirty roads that bike craves. |

It looks like the fender, tank and seat are all after thoughts. |

this thing doesnt look dirt oriented to me at all." did the tires give it away? will say though that seat doesnt fit the tail section very well, not good to see light between the two |

"...the focus was dirt track and the minimalist beauty of the discipline..." Not motocross, dirt track. Completely different orientation. Looks like it could really fun on a short tight paved track too. G |

I like it a lot. Comments were made on motorcycle daily that it had a Sportster light and fork. Headlight I'll buy but the fork looks like the M2 fork, or did Showa make that fork in several different configurations. |

I would go with a more SuMo front end.... and a set of MT-60s.... and I would ride the liven hell outta it. and I understand mass central and everything... but that pipe needs to move - I need the ground clearance. |

If they could swap the Intake and exhaust side, that would fix everything. The exhaust would come out where the air filter is and would have plenty of space for a very free flowing muffler with spark arrest. |

Kinda like what I expect this to be.
Max power: 44 hp (32 kW) @ 6,500 rpm (rear tyre 38.6 hp @ 6,900 rpm ) Max torque: 49.5 Nm @ 5,000 rpm I won't be afraid to thrash mine a bit; and I'm aiming for the 250-270 lb range. Of course thats BEFORE the 45 lbs of fuel. (Message edited by gunut75 on March 08, 2012) |

That's where I'm headed with this XR600, got a 19" front wheel and a set of semi-knobbies to put on it, then paint.

That's sick. Ohlin's made bottom-down forks that color, IIRC, but I really can't identify the rest. Looks like you'd be COMPELLED to work on your wheelie skills. Much like my memories of an old XR200R, but plus sized. |

Not yours RT. The monstrosity in the article. Even it I though your bike was ugly (which I don't), I wouldn't be rude enough to tell you. |

Tank is from Omar's, seat is a generic XR-style off ebay. Both fiberglass. rt |

RT- kewl! Someday I'd love to hack together a home-brew bike like that... at the moment, I gotta tune-up/tweak/de-uglify my new ride, the '79 GL1000 I got from Vern's brudder. (He was not responsible for the ugliness, the prior owner was.) Hmmm, Jeremy- I'dve thought you'd like the bike in my OP. Given the specs and the weight, it could DO some "pretty" things... After looking hard at that machine, I'm itching for something similar from our buddy Erik... |

Also- not seen the wheel design before, they look to be intended for tubeless tires... |
