Some clown in Sacramento wants to impose a $10 tax for entry into strip clubs because "There is a clear nexus between alcohol consumption and violence against women. This [bill] only affects those that serve alcohol."
"The legislation would allow state agencies to use the revenues to study sexual assault in California and award grants to programs that assist victims of sexual assault, exploitation and human trafficking."
Das Williams (D-Santa Barbara)told the Sacramento Bee "Men will continue to go to strip bars, and you know what? They'll feel better about it because they'll be funding a needed service for women."
Yeah, that's the ticket. When my wife asks where I've been I can honestly say I've attended a fundraiser. Who else thinks this guy is an idiot?

Shit - so when I go to a strip club, it'll be like high school - drinking in the parking lot?

I think the rules are that if they serve alcohol it's topless only and a proposed $10 tax. No alcohol = full nudity & no tax. The last time I stepped foot in a club was in Orlando, FL in 1995. I'm more a tightwad than a prude.

They do it here in Tx. It's called a "Pole Tax", but it's only 5 bucks.

Texas has 'warmers'
meaning they bring you the mixer - and you are allowed to have your own bottle of your personal favorite

.... and if you ever thought of getting physical with a dancer - those bouncers all look like they played defensive line and are looking for an excuse to let loose some testosterone rage.
I think the strip clubs is probably one of the SAFEST places for women.... so lets get a petition going to turn all women into strippers.

/sarcasm.

I expect they'll bring out a law forbidding baseball caps & plaid shirts soon because the button on the cap could injure you & check shirts look weird on tv.

Only a matter of time before motorcycles are outlawed in California unless you're wearing a full airbag suit.

In California the separation of church and state is very narrow. The church has nothing to do with Jehovah though.

Strippers are prostitutes whether you have sex with them or not. I don't condone what they do, but I know it's also none of my business.

Therefore, I am against any form of taxation on the simple act of consuming a particular beverage type or the viewing of depravity.

I used to think strippers were full of it when they'd tell me they were just doing it to pay for school.

That all changed when I met my new podiatrist "Sapphire".
