Yesterday browsing around another motorcycle forum for ideas on cheap/free dual sport improvements, well I started following links from one forum to another and ended up here: http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=95 5676 This guy is transforming an M109 2.5 ton military truck into a motorhome of sorts. Lots of details in here, the guy is definitely capable in many areas of fabrication in addition to detailed documentation. Pretty cool read, I figured some of you here might be interested in it. Heck, I'm completely clueless when it comes to these trucks and half of what he's doing to his but I still can't stop reading it!

Very, VERY cool. Those dueces are crazy reliable. The ride in the back isn't very good though :P I love seeing retired military vehicles being put to cool uses. I wonder if you could fit an LMTV engine in that |

"I wonder if you could fit an LMTV engine in that" They did. It was known as the M35A3. They had to widen the hood and grill to fit the radiator though. Made em look funky. They also had Allison auto trannys in them that SUCKED. Ahhh, the old M109. It was the first truck I ever signed for. Those were the good old days. |

There is a landscaper in my town, a Nam vet that uses a deuce and half and HUMV as work vehicles. Very distinctive. |
