Add about twenty more degrees of elevation in that transition spot and you will know what happened to mine! That is so cool that you are getting to do some wheelin' this early in the year. Although it is fun to do it when breaking through the ice in the mud holes. |

Running like a top. Oil is staying nice and clean. Did the first oil change at about 500 miles I'm going to do another in about 1500 miles Then it will be back on every 5000. I just got a set of six new 4 hole injectors. Looking forward to replacing the single holes to see if it makes any diff. I only got 14 mpg outta the last tank... 33's may have something to do with that |

14 MPG is pretty good for a lifted n geared 4.0 on 33's. Jeeps are not known for their exceptional fuel economy. My 1990 Comanche stroker got consistent 11 mpg no matter how easy or hard I ran it. My 2.5 powered 2 door XJ got around 16 mpg on 35's with 4.88's. |

I like this thread I picked up my 2012 Rubicon Unlimited in September and have been loving every minute of it. Being raised in a family of Jeepers, it was only a matter of time before I owned one. Traded in my 2011 Mustang GT for it and couldn't be happier. Done a few things to the Jeep so far, including full skidplates, new front bumper, winch and bed lined wheels. I tried to get the necessities done first. Slowly saving now for a 4" lift, 35" tires, rear bumper/tire carrier, fenders...and the list goes on. Here's a little video of our wheeling trip on new years weekend http://youtu.be/d88hjcN9VS8 |

Well I have the nose back on the Jeep. Fabricated a new radiator support and installed the new aluminum radiator, man does it look sweet. Next week I should be able to hook up the electric fan, plum the tranny cooler and get the coolant system done. Another step closer. I'll get pics later. |

My poor little ole CJ7 is still under it's winter tarp out by the shed. Just no time to get back on it yet. Damn, the weather is great too! You all are inspiring me for sure! |

This weeks pics. With the nose on for the final time. The rear tire is what I'm going with so that'll give you an idea of my height.
And a couple of the engine compartment almost finished.
Still need to clean up the wiring and some other odds and ends but I think I can see the end of the road now. The 3 major things that I have left are the driveshafts, exhaust and tires. I have my VIR trip coming up in April so funds are going to be tight. This should be interesting. Anyone want to meet me at V.I.R. around the end of April for 2 days of track fun??? |

Yea I'm going with 17" rims with 33" tires. The rims came from my buddy's 06 Mustang GT. |

Back in the day there was a T shirt that said something like "Injection is nice.....but I'd rather be Blown!" of course it had a picture of a hemi with a giant blower on it. |

I could go for either.... Injectors installed.... only had one leaker. Started to get the tools out... but then tried the wiggle, wiggle, turn it, shake it first routine and that worked The heep does start a lot easier I think it will take a few start and stop cycles for the computer to "learn" what the new injectors are doing. Starts and runs smoother.... so far win win But the best part of the day.... put a new clutch pack in the Uly. Took it for a short ride... it was nice to roll on the throttle and go forward faster instead of just hearing the rpm's go up Next for the Uly, New front motor mount |

You seem to be staying busy! Glad to hear the injectors made a difference. What? Uly maintenance on this thread? That is just weird! |

Putting a new set of iridium plugs in tonight I got winch fever! Getting stuck a couple of times will do that to ya. I would like to get a Warn winch and plate but DAMN $$$$ |

Mark, check out the new quadratec winches. They looked pretty good in the mag for less $$$. Got the cooling system just about done. The electric fan is mounted and I finished up the kickdown cable along with a few other odds & ends. It's nice being able to finally see the end of the road ahead. |

Damnut, that's a heck of an air filter on the 5.0... |

100% particle filter I call it, helps with the field mice too. One problem I'm running into is what type of air box to run. I'm definitely running a snorkel setup but there isn't much real estate on that side of the engine compartment. Thinking of going with one of these in the middle. http://www.jegs.com/i/Spectre/865/9833/10002/-1 Just another one of those "got ya's" |

I picked up a old air box from a Buick at the local Pick-N-Pull for 5 or 6 bucks... along with a piece of hose from Advanced Auto... and badda bing.. "Cowl Snorkel"
But I do have a little more room than you. Plug update. All 6 old ones looked great. All 6 new Iridium's installed and indexed. I thought it was gonna pull a wheelie on the way to work.... |
