Anyone know anything about it. I just heard about it from a friend. Is it worth spending some time there or is it just a couple of garage parties strung together? |

Found a website for it at azbikeweek.com. Seems like it should be worth the time. |

just remember to bring your assless chaps as it's mainly a Hardley Ableson event... There ARE some great roads to be ridden in AZ, preferably when there are NOT a couple thousand "bikers" poking along looking cool on their Hardleys. I lived there for 15 years, and always made it a point to get OUT of town during bike week! |

I first attended AZ Bike Week in 1997 (I lived in the Bay area then) it was a real fun time. Bike Week was based in Avondale with lots of great events and vendors. Road races at PIR (Higbee won for Buell) and drag races including nitro bikes at Firebird Raceway. Over the years it has become spread out over the greater Phoenix area and not so much fun. I quit going a few years ago. As far "assless chaps" go, chaps are "assless" by definition and sure beat the crap out of blue jeans or even kevlar reinforced jeans when it comes to accidentally dragging a knee or flying road debris.
