Did I just hear you call everyone that worked with you on the bodyguard ... racist's? Doesn't seem appropriate for a eulogy ... even if true. |

Hearing that Whitney Houston died of an overdose is like finding out that Richard Simmons is gay. It's a non-story. The sickening part is all of the "Whitney Fans" coming out of the woodwork. If you REALLY gave a damn about her, you would have stepped in and helped do the difficult work of saving her life and breaking her addiction. |

It IS a tragic story. No one is denying that. The real issue is whether or not there were people who were in her life who could have stepped in and helped her. Where were all these "friends"? |

FTB.. The people she surrounded herself with are employees.. not fiends. They lived off her fame and income. So... how do you tell your boss what to do? |

The real issue is whether or not there were people who were in her life who could have stepped in and helped her. Where were all these "friends"? Yea, that is part of the tragedy. I wonder how many other people (famous or not) are in the exact same situation? I guess the real issue is if those who now exist with a loved one in a similar situation will rise up - man up - woman up - speak up and do the right thing for their loved ones. |

I could understand being surrounded by "yes men" send not friends. The "yes men" are not the ones showing up on television being interviewed. I don't see many interviews from Angelina the maid or Jose the gardener. Kevin Costner isn't a " yes man". Where the hell was he? At least Corey Feldman tried to save Corey Haim. What we are seeing now are self absorbed a$$hats who were too self absorbed to help someone in need and using their death in order to promote themselves. I see that crap every year when old Country Music stars die. People who talked bad about them behind their back fighting like cats and dogs to get to the front of the line to eulogize them at their funeral. |

Well, I ended up watching the funeral and thought most everyone was being sincere. Singers like to do what they love... sing. I did fall asleep at during the last part when the preacher spoke & sang (he was good) but woke up again at the sound of the final singer as the moved they casket. The funeral was done well, I thought they did a great job. |
