I may have missed it but of three separate threads on this subject Court has not showed up in any. Strange |

I suspect Court is being quite out of certain insider knowledge concerns. |

Here is to warm weather for possible infield camping and a long ride there and back! Why do I feel like we are worshiping a super hero? Oh that is right.....his past performance on a Buell! The man is truly exciting to watch! I hope he gets to ride with a red cape a'la Superman! Danny Eslick riding for EBR is like having fresh air pumped into my "give a shit for watching motorcycle racing", given the economy's damage to my MOJO over the past couple of years. A man needs something to believe in! This is awesome news. |

Why would it make Austria proud ??? Internally that engine has nothing to do with them. |

"I think Danny is the best rider a Buell race team ever had" I agree with you. He was able to do things on a Buell no one else came close to doing (of course referencing the 1125R in A.S.Bike class). Again, May is a good rider, but Eslick is a GREAT rider. This is good news for all Buell fans and motorcycle roadracing fans, will be exciting to watch this season, way more so than last even with a new bike being launched. "Why do I feel like we are worshiping a super hero? Oh that is right.....his past performance on a Buell! " Worship? Dang.... |

"Why would it make Austria proud ??? Internally that engine has nothing to do with them." I wouldve went a different route: -Eslick isnt from Austria -he's ridden, in competition, their stuff before -and so on. Austria probably dont give a crap about some American kid riding a bike built in a America, even if it does have a motor from their country. |

Makes sense. All the folks from all the countries that EBR has sourced parts from should be proud. And rightly so. It's a testament to their achievement that EBR chose to use their parts when constructing the motorcycle Erik has always wanted to build. And besides, from what I understand, the engineers at Buell designed the engine. Rotax simply manufactured it for them. The Chinese build the iPhone, yet it is still heralded as an American success story, no? |

I think Danny and Geoff will offer a good balanced team... We shouldn't be underestimating how well Geoff did all last season with the "this bike has to come back to the paddock running and in one piece" marching orders he no doubt knew. Danny was a ton of fun to watch ride... I still drop my jaw thinking about that crazy crossed up wheelie making a pass stick in the last turns at Mid Ohio... freaking awesome. |

Unless I fall off the planet before March, I will once again be camping in the Caveman camp at Daytona! Always a cup of hot coffee for anybody that shows up. |

"We shouldn't be underestimating how well Geoff did all last season " May is good, for sure. Very talented, but nowhere close to Eslick, or even Higbee, on these machines (I say Higbee due to Higbees first race out finishing right behind May who helped develop the bike) |

I think Danny & Jeoff will make a good teams help each each other out. I think they still have a way to go yet to be as fast as the Jap bikes but I hope not. Would it be nice to have to have bike made in the USA. For a sponsor like USA NATIONAL GUARD In stead a Jap bike |

If--that's a BIG "if"--Danny exhibits the same advantage on the 1190RS compared to other 1190RS risers, then he's sure to be right in the mix for race wins. It's not to be expected, but we can hope. Crew chief and team are so vital. RMR sure did set the bar incredibly high in that respect. |

+1 Blake... If Danny could retain his old crewchief he'd be in good hands. Not saying he won't but you do see champions crewchiefs travel to other camps with there riders. Also even though Danny is incredible rider he does have a learning curve to conquer and he just may out of the gate but most don't. That is,Superbike. The class bike is not the same in any way. cornerspeed is much different, tire management is a new ball game and being on slicks when your used to race compound street tires is a big difference. I'm quite sure he'll have time testing but race time is quite different. Thats ok though Josh Herrin has the same learning curve. But will Josh be a electronics rider or not?? |

"But will Josh be a electronics rider or not??" I'm looking forward to watching EBR's DRW traction control system in action. |

Lets put it this way. Hayes runs without it. I'm not sure if Herrin will but I know he has big dirt tracker background also Eslick does big time. This may be interesting |

The drive behind TC was Geoff's position in the pack. He'd lose spots at the start...then keep pace throughout the race. It's not so much for the racing, but for the LAUNCHING. Its sorta like taking a street car with a turbocharged engine and a stickshift and front wheel drive to a drag race...against an automatic bigblock with a high stall converter, rear wheel drive, and 2-step rev limiter. Guess who comes out of the hole faster? Sure, the turbocar MIGHT reel 'em in after the 60' mark once traction isn't as much of an issue and the boost comes up...but that bigblock is gonna launch a WHOLE lot harder. Once the 1190 stays on pace - not just during the races, but during the STARTS - we'll be seeing some very serious finishes...both from Danny, AND from Geoff. I can't wait. Vern...you may be onto something there. |

Wowzer! Get 'em Danny! Traction control? Maybe it is coming but I don't see it helping much, especially with Danny's sometimes "slideways" cornering style. G |

Guess who comes out of the hole faster? I've see some pretty amazing awd's that make mockery of some pretty fast built v8's.
