Very nicely done. Web formatting is a bit of a PITA, but excellent photography and some REALLY good quotes. |

thanx very much for posting the foto & link - I ended up on an Indian RE forum & saw more fotos this factory-funded Cafe concept is SO much better finished than the UK distributor's cobby Clubman kit - wow....... I'm old enough & rather opinionated about what's 'right' - I'm telling you that, appearance-wise, RE got many, many visual & mechanical details spot-on really nice! add the US aftermarket powerup package & it'll likely smoke a GB500 |

He is talking about the Indian Royal Enfield cafe racer that was two stories down from the Erik Buell interview. This is apparently a factory prototype that uses the existing engine in a new frame. |

Nice article. I didn't see the RE Cafe article on HFL so I googled it. This what you're talking about? http://motoroids.com/news/2012-expo-royal-enfield- unveils-cafe-racer-accessories-range.html

^^^^yes, it is^^^^ dunno how I made the leap from East Troy to New Delhi anyway, they're each at different extremes of the technological & financial yardsticks! |

I know there were big quality problems with the Indian Enflields and that spawned a couple groups in England who specialized in going over and "certifying" the Indian Enfields before re-selling. |

Cool enfield! It'd be a neat play bike if it is reliable and gets 50 mpg. |

Are the 1190RS bikes being sold direct from EBR or through dealers? |

I know there was one for sale last year at Pro Italia in Glendale. It was proudly on display during their Cafe Desmo show. I guess that makes them a dealer. |

There's a few Harley dealers that sell them too. There was a pic floating around here just after the start of production of an 1190 at a Harley dealer back east. |
