I am thinking of buying my father an authentic, vintage HD sign (maybe more than one) for Christmas Anyone know of a good starting point for looking for said item? I started on ebay but it pulls up a ton of repro stuff, I want original, not reproduction thanks for any assistance you can offer |

I had a saved search for original Harley posters..they sell for outrageous prices. Some like mine sold for over $200.00.....years ago. Can only imagine what vintage or original signs would sell for.The local (now extinct) "Mom & Pop" harley shop had a tube script lighted harley bar & shield with a clock in the middle of it. Probably from the 40's or 50's(?)............probably worth thousands. |

I recently picked up an old gas pump from a guy down the street from my mom's that restores signs, he told me if I ever see a HD sign for $500 or under to buy it regardless of condition, he said some of them are worth as much as $10,000, and he has never restored one because they are so pricey!! |

Go to the Ashboro HD museum. Ed Rich used to own it, guess he still does. He's been selling old HD stuff for a long time. Hth |
