Tonight was at B&N and flipped through the SuperStreetBike magazine (I know, its really not a great mag, but its something to flip through) and they had a special section that was about the 'best used bikes under $5k' In the list was the Buell XB12R It said something like 'common mods' or something and mentioned pipe, intake, and jumper mod (not sure what that is, I dont have a XB) Anyway, was surprised, and pleased, to see SSB highlight the brand. |

I caught air several times on the XB .... she was heavy and not happy about it, but 100 hp on dirt... well things get interesting. |

If I recall correctly, the jumper mod was something that tricked the exhaust valve to stay open... or maybe it was to fool the ecm into thinking there was a servo motor attached so the check engine light wouldnt come on |

European Buells have a jumper that converts from street to .... I don't know "not street" mode or something. That magazine is British, right? |

If they did their research, it has got to be the headlight mod to make both bulbs come on at the same time. If they half-assed it, they probably found the "white wire mod" for the euro bikes and didn't know any better: http://www.fatbiker.co.uk/2008/08/16/white-wire-mo d-pictures/ |
