If this is season ending, count them out of the playoff hunt, just as they were getting it together. http://espn.go.com/chicago/nfl/story/_/id/7263009/ source-chicago-bears-jay-cutler-broken-right-thumb |

I want to know who comes up with the Lions' gameplan each week. "Let's see, we'll fall behind by two or three touchdowns then come back to win it late in the 4th quarter". I haven't looked so forward to a Thanksgiving Day game as I am to this one. The Packers are good but they do give up enough points each game for the Lions to steal one from them. -Stroke, Plymouth General Hospital, Detroit 1952 |

Looking at the Bears up coming schedule, the defense should be able to keep them in the hunt as long as their running game shows up to help out Haynie. The post season will be a different story if Cutler is not able to play. |

The defense will be fine, but they'll be on the a lot. Moving the ball will be a major issue. 8 in the box will be the norm to try to stuff Forte. Then when it's third and long, blitz. There is no reason to respect the passing game until Haine proves he can do something. It's too bad for them, They were finally getting into a down field passing groove. I'm obviously no Bears fan, but I thought it'd be cool to have 3 NFC north teams in the playoffs. Maybe they can hang on, but I'm not betting on it. |

Looks like 50 cent is out. Maybe return in the playoffs if possible. |

With the Broncos and Chiefs coming up all they need is for the defense and special teams (Hester) to set them up in field goal range a couple times to get through those games. The Raiders might be a different story with Palmer settling in though. They need Cutler back if they are going to do anything in the playoffs, but they should be able to win enough games without him to at least make the playoffs. Especially when you consider how inconsistent the Falcons, Bucs, Cowpies, and Eagles have been. The playoffs are going to be a big NFC North party this year. |

stick a fork in the Bears??? I remember they said the same back in 1985 when they lost their starting quarterback for half of the season. Their replacement went 7 wins and just one lost on their way to winning the Super Bowl! |

Different time, different game, different defense. We'll see, but My thinking is Bears fans are about to realize how good Cutler is. |
