>>>>e NYC has one of the best intelligence LEO networks in the nation.
There are some amazing stories about some of the sophisticated equipment and techniques they have. Tales about the CIA, NSA and foreign operators and organizations coming to study NYC equipment and techniques. The kids could get a surprise.
Some of you who have visited NYC may have . . . and you'll remember it if you did .. had the pleasure of seeing a "Hercules Team".
The first time . . .I thought I'd wandered into another movie set.
Wait... they are going to block innocent people from getting to their jobs by blocking streets and the entrance to subways?? And when they refuse to move after being told by the PEACE OFFICERS they shout: "police brutality"!!
Kinda cute . . . they vowed to "create a huge traffic jam".
Dude . . . it's NYC . . . we have them twice a day. Where else to they run traffic reports every 10 minutes at 2am Sunday morning?
I remember when my Mom . . . in Topeka, KS. . .was talking about traffic and I had to explain to her that in NYC there are more registered vehicles than in North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma and the top half of Texas.
I'm get a daily laugh about people here in Atlanta complaining about the traffic. I explain that Los Angeles COUNTY has more people than the entire state of Georgia, and the roads are in much worse shape.
They don't really believe me, I think. So I wait until about 6:30pm and scroll my Google traffic map over so they can see Los Angeles... jaws drop.
"What's a police state look like? THIS is what a police state looks like." --pure ignorance.
I've been listening, while in the car between job sites, to some of the 1010 WINS live coverage. I think Juliet Pappa thinks her Press Credentials are some sort of "badge of immunity".
If you are going to "embed" yourself with the idiots you forfeit your right to complain when you are treated as they are.
For those of you who can't spend the entire day with us . . . here's the schedule.

I'm trying to decide, as faculty, if I can attend a "mass student protest". I still have both my ID's from when I graduated from NYU and Columbia . . . perhaps I'll disguise myself as student.
I enjoyed marching in the "Debt is Slavery" march and confess I laughed my ass off when the "student" didn't see the humor in me asking him if I could borrow a couple bucks for the subway.
Since they have no cause . . . we may as well enjoy the party. Eager to see when the mace starts.
One student asked me ". . . . I'm not sure where this is leading". . . . I told him "when you get a wifi connection, Goggle "Kent State"."
By the way . . . if one of you would step up and pay off my student loans, my car loans, my bike loans and the mortgages I wouldn't have to march.
But . . as long as "the man" expects me to be responsible for debts I incur . . well, WTF . . we need "Hope and Change".
X & Y axis ultrosonic and microwave weapons.... The Marines and the Army Have them. They work. They work well. You will feel either a burning and hot sensation.... or you will puke and shiat yourself, depending on which trucks and which service is called.
the technology in a mobile format is about 15 years old, and was well deployed in E Europe and N Africa for field 'testing'.

I don't understand why they don't use this technology more often in riot situations. The ONLY thing I can think of is the "splash" effect of the low frequency sound waves hitting unintended targets in an urban setting.

Did you see the photos I posted a couple weeks ago of the black vans?
They, by the way, had their blimp up again the other day. I always laugh when they use it. "Unmarked" works for a Crown Vic . . not so well for a blimp. There is something quite suspicious about a plain white blimp. If I wanted to "hide a blimp in plain sight" . . I'd put Goodyear, Michelin or something on it.
But alas . . . they confers some risk (they tried using our trucks once until our folks began to be treated like UC and we had to suspend permission) on who you are dressing up as.
By the way . . if these folks, living on a diet of Taco Bell and White Castle . . . are gonna start barfing and pooping involuntarily . . can we wait till they get to your town to deploy?
We have one mounted on a HMMWV platform that can be rolled out, fired up and traversed to handle very large crowds in seconds. It's part of the non lethal capabilities portfolio.
One more area where the occupiers differ from Tea Partiers is that no one attending Tea Party events has ever been charged with attempting to assassinate the POTUS. Way to go snowflakes!
They even do a moment of silence to show their "solidarity" with the "guy who shot at the White House"! It's hard to claim it's just an individual nut job when you declare you solidarity with him as a group.
