I don't understand the missing structure comment/concern over the swing arm. Each side of the swing arm is connected to the other, just not at the pivot. It is joined slightly behind the pivot, where the shock attaches. What am I missing? |

I'm even more excited about an e-bike now based on various faint croaking noises. Wish I knew more, but I can wait. Ah! I didn't see that brace Hootowl, thank you. Correct, that looks plenty strong. (Message edited by reepicheep on November 10, 2011) |

Me neither. Leave it to the Owl to catch every detail. |

Thanks Raceautobody! Two sections of that review tell me what I need to know...
quote:From a standing start, full throttle acceleration feels like riding a 125cc conventional motorcycle to about 35mph. By 45 to 50mph the ZERO pulls hard enough to get all of your attention; akin to a 250cc conventional bike near redline.
quote:From a ‘full tank’ charge state, I rode in an urban setting at either full throttle or no throttle. Every start was pinned, full throttle. Speeds were between 25-50mph. In this full-flog mode, I drained the ‘tank’ in 25 miles.
I think that's pretty much how I would ride it and not make it home. |

Exactly! I think some were expecting arm stretching acceleration off the line. It needs a gear or two. Was that the 6KWH or the 9 KWH version? I read article. Old obsolete model, just 4.4 KW. The 2012 model with 9 KWH option would go almost double the distance, maybe more with regenerative braking. |

Mad Max gets a redeux with electric vehicles ant the attempts to hijack solar cell shipments..... nah, probably not. (It is a cool bike, I would enjoy giving one a spin in the mud) ....getting home might be a biatch though. |
