http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-19736_7-57320773-251/ republic-wireless-unlimited-android-phone-for-$19-per-month/ http://www.pcworld.com/article/243471/republic_wir eless_you_have_a_strange_definition_of_unlimited.h tml It seems like it might be good assuming you never leave an open wifi hotspot. I was looking into it too, but I can burn through the 300mb "unlimited" data in a few hours on the road without even trying. I don't use voice anymore, and text has been on the way out too. |

well i rarely would reach there 550 min, and alot of times never reach the 150 texts. not sure about the 300mb of data. most of my day to day though i am near wifi. and obviously i also have it at home. so using the wifi to cut away most of my talk time, texts and data(which most of my data is already saved by using the wifi at home and work) should easily keep me within their range of acceptable usage. that would sure be some nice money back in my pocket... |

Ok sounds like it might work for you so far! Only other downside is currently you are stuck with one phone at this time. The LG they offer isn't terrible, but it isn't a super duper high end phone like you can use on other providers. Also, the cellular coverage is provided by Sprint, make sure they are good to start with in your area! |

i was wondering who the provider was and didnt see it until i looked at one of your links. im going to have to check around and see how sprints coverage works here. ive always had uscellular, and they work just fine. i suppose i should take a close look at my current bill and make sure my usage hasnt gone up without me really paying attention too i suppose. |

hmmm, well regardless of whether i try a new provider or not, im going to have to figure out an easy way to make calls from isla mujeres in a couple weeks without killing my cell bill. might be able to do the google voice thing if i can figure it out, or maybe skype... both of them look like they may be a pain in the ass |

A family plan would likely save you near $100 on your current cell phone bills. |

skype is pretty easy, as long as microsoft doesnt do one of their 'upgrades' during your call. DAMHIK |
