Since this discussion has degraded into a political one, what do you think of Colin Powell blaming the Tea Party for the deadlock in congress?
I've always been suspicious that he wasn't really a conservative and he keeps proving it to me. |

I say good luck. We could have use MORE deadlock when Spendulus and Obamacare were passed. We need more Tea Party folks in Congress.
Powell sucks. Seeing that he believes the current deadlock is bad only means he sucks more. |

I have been at 3 speeches given by Colin Powell 1st speech I thought he was great 2nd I had questions 3rd not a fan any more. The most articulate description of Powell is in Schwartzkophs " It does'nt Take a Hero"
I lost all respect I had for him when it came out how his son received sweetheart stock options and job from Steve Case of Aol His son was laundering Money for Aol to get influence in Congress . His support for Obama shows he is a Rino |

I respect Powell, but I don't agree with his politics lately. Then again, I wonder if he's playing the role of a Trojan RHINO. Given his military background, one has to wonder.

C'mon Blake. Quit denying it. I don't want to have to bring up our relationship, but No_rice was going to the press and I had to get ahead of the story (to make sure I got the rights and royalties).
I'm an upright and honest person who would have no reason to make this stuff up.
You know how those enginer/website owners are, all sexually aggressive. Groping people in cars. |

When it's put in those terms it sounds pretty damning for Cain. When put in the context that it was in the article, that he has done this sort of thing with numerous folks... Well, it makes him sound like a person that believes in smaller government and personal charity. The fact that he doesn't consult with his wife on everything that he does with what probably amounts to pocket change for him is small potatoes. I also have people that owe me money (that I will likely never see again) that my wife doesn't know about. I just don't see where this is a big deal. It kind of makes Cain sound like the kind of person that out country should look up to. |

If there is a way to paint a situation in the worst possible light, it will be painted in the worst possible light for a conservative.
That's just how it is. It doesn't really matter what the real story is or whether there was any real wrong doing. |

They will leave the gloves off Mitt until after the primary.
The press wants Mitt and believes that he is the easiest to beat.
One good thing about Newt is that much of his dirt is either public knowledge or urban legend. He is also the bigger policy threat. Obama is a lightweight, but he is well organized and willing to go to any lengths to win.
There is a reason Obama was in Chicago. There was a reason Alinsky based his operation in Chicago. |
