Apply dish soap and water mixture with paper towel and then dry with another paper towel. Little trick from my hockey days. -J5 |

Spit rubbed on inner surface followed by light rinse works on snorkeling/scuba masks. If you have halitosis, that method is discouraged. |

Agree with the Scorpion anti-fog visors. I've ridden in all sorts of weather and never fogged. I think the helmet's breath deflectors help. Once I got all bundled up inside and overheated before going outside in subfreezing weather. I actually did get the thinnest layer of ice crystals inside the visor across the top 1 inch - it looked like spider webs - but it did not interfere with my vision and disappeared after a few minutes |

FogTech is pretty good, little wipes, quick to use. Clarity DeFog It is supposedly even better. There's reviews 10 different ones at web bike world, plus Pinlock, Fog City, and some other physical fog-preventers. (Message edited by jayvee on November 08, 2011) |

My Nolans have come with Pinlock inserts. While they work O.K., on a long ride in the rain, my breath gets between the insert and the faceshield, and fogs up. I prefer the Fog City insert which has a band of adhesive around the periphery of the insert. It seals the gap between the two and is more resistant to fogging. The Fog City is much better when the temps fall below freezing, as well. The Pinlock is made from a thicker material than the Fog City, and is less easily scratched. Both are preferable to potions, in my experience. |

I don't have a problem with my Scorpion's visor fogging up, but my glasses are another story. The Clarity Defog is the best stuff I've ever used! |

How does the Clarity Defog work long term? That has been why I liked the Foggy, it didn't wear-out as you ride. I'm curious about the long term with the liquid defoggers. |

I ride in cold weather routinely. The stock visor fogs up in the cool, and frosts up in the cold. The only solution I have found is to use a double layer snowmobile helmet visor. The double layer eliminates fogging and frosting. I use a Z1R flip up helmet, and the local motorcycle/snowmobile dealer had a double layer shield that fits the Z1R. I'm sure there are shields for other brands as well. For those who fear a LEO stop, you should peel off the "For Snowmobile Use Only" label off the shield. |

32 degrees F outside tonight. 27 with wind chill. Pledge doesn't cut it for me. Going to the local bike shop to see what they have. |

What Carbonsteel said. I feel awful after Higbee's race when his faceshield fogged up. I ALWAYS have a couple bottles of Sea Drops mask de-fogger in the box and SHOULD HAVE thought of it. Sea Drops, baby shampoo and other wipe-on types are only good for about 20-30 minutes. Enough for a race but for all day, could get marginal. Couple drops and a dry cloth will freshen the visor right up again though. Respro Foggy WILL keep your breath from even reaching the face shield. |

I don't breathe at stop signs... no... really, I always wear safety glasses... tinted during the day and clear at night... and I pull up my visor at low speed and stop signs. Seems to work just fine. (Message edited by Whatever on November 22, 2011) |

Rev, I saw that elsewhere a couple of days ago. All I could think of was face shields. After looking at their site, I wasn't able to see if they have a spray on produce or if they will have one available. Hope they do! |
