In n out isn't just in ca, they also have a bunch in az. I liked them but not the best I've had. And sadely enough the original red robins ( here in little ol Spokane wa) has been closed. Something about it being right next to the train tracks. Now fudruckers in billings mt there's a good burger. And delishes in Spokane with their double bacon cheeseburger, with freshly sauted onions.. mm mm good. |

Red Robin has finally come back to Long Island after a long absence. Love the "fancy burgers" but sometimes a plain ol' burger with pickles, onions and ketchup is all you need. For "fancier burger" here on Long Island, Taby's in Oyster Bay can't be beat. And wandering a little west into Queens, you've got Jackson Hole. Have any of you NYC Metro types had one of those? AWESOME! |

If you are in Spokane.... Ride north a bit to CLAYTON ! that burger will put a dent in your gas milage ! cheese, patty, cheese, patty, bacon x4, sliced hot dog, egg, onions, and served with optional chili scoop, and a pound of fries. When I was growing up, if you could eat a full one, your next one was free. Best Huckle berry shakes too; damn I miss those. |

The Rochester NY area is blessed with decent local Burger joints. Tom Wahls http://www.tomwahls.com/ usually wins the ratings, Don and Bobs, http://www.donsoriginal.com/ gets high marks too, both classic joints that started as summer only ice cream and burger stands. Also I favor Charlie's http://www.charliesrestaurants.com/ for their "grilled Cheese Burger". ( grilled cheese with a burger inside. ) I like 5 Guys fries, and think the burgers ok, but they don't have Flintstone style multi burgers on the menu locally. Not saying they wouldn't make a 6 patty burger, just don't know how much one costs. Red Robin burgers are fun for a change, and while I originally thought them high priced, I now see they make it up in pricey beer. The local family businesses are the best, almost always. There's a Charlie's right off the Victor/Rt490 NYS Thruway exit for folks passing by. Worth the leg stretch and calories. ( the other way is a mega-mall complex with everything from Bonefish to Johnny Rockets if a chocolate creme brulee is your road fuel ) |

Those all look great!..... Cheeseburgers are my weakness. Five Guys is a client of the SCU so I am compelled to conduct research from time to time. |

Personally, I think the best all around fast food joint is Sonic. ...since there is no Original Tommy's here. |

Darn it! I need to lay off the red meat, on colesterol meds etc, and that gooey beefy 5 guys burger was just too much We have a local chain called Andy's they have a 50 oz "challenge" type burger eat it and its free, Their burger meets the elbow criteria, had one with onions, mustard, pickles, chilly and slaw, and a soft drink... mmmmmmmmm it was good.. Back to Chicken and other "white meat" in small quanities.. |

If I want a decent burger here I have to make my own as it's that or McD's. My current favourite is double cheeseburger using a nice Cantal entre deux for the cheese & topped with heinz ketchup, Dijon mustard, Horseradish sauce & garlic. |

There is a taco truck at the edge of town that does roasted jalapenos and fried okra as a side. The mile walk there is the only thing keeping the weight off. |

5 GUYS SUCKS! I have a theory on five guys. People go there and pay $14 for a small burger, a loose bag of floppy fries, and a coke. They question if they just took it in the ass and when they realize they might have, they quickly try to think of reasons to like 5 guys instead of believing they got ripped off. In N Out is much better. Hell, I'd rather eat McDonalds than guys. |

It was about $15, you get charged for a standard cheeseburger then it is something like $1.50 per patty extra. Eight patties is pretty much my limit, I have a friend that can down a 15.

I eat it because it tastes good, not because it looks good. That is like buying something with a pretty carburetor because it looks better than a faster safer more reliable fuel injected burger.

It isn't on the menu at mine either, but it is in the computer. They just add the extra patties like toppings.

Yep, but they are in a different class than fast food burgers, and then national chain places like Red Robin.

Wow, where is that? A small burger, regular fries, and regular soda is $9.70 here, which puts them in the same league as Wendy's in terms of pricing. Using your logic, you sound like most Harley Davidson owners |

I have no idea what is in chili, and have never tried it on a hot dog. You keep mentioning EMPs, but you probably aren't aware there are ways to protect against them. |

No, they don't offer that class anymore. No shop, or chemicals/gas in chem class either. Virtual body dissection was fun though! |

Frankly I think CheeburgerCheeburger does a better job than 5 Guys. http://www.cheeburger.com/locations.asp Locally a lot of people rave about steamed cheeseburgers, and I have yet to try one. Hell, this place was even on the Food Channel. http://tedsrestaurant.com/ |

Funny Farm A Winchell's original. Country fried pork chop topped with country ham, bacon, a fried egg and peper jack cheese. Served on a Kaiser roll with hand cut fries. Taken directly from the menu of one of my favorite places to eat, and yeah, they misspelled pepper. Aesquire is right, the local, family run joints are almost always the best. They definitely have the best atmosphere. I have to give props to Red Robin's (although I haven't been yet) advertising campaign though. Having three kids, wherever I am in the house all I have to do is say, "Reeed Robin" and someone, somewhere will say, "yuuuum". |
