I just saw this thread and read through the whole thing and all I can say is; Really?!? Really?!? We have a population of 153888 (2010 census), no one pays attention to us, and I like it that way. Occupy Sioux Falls, THAT is absolutely ludicrous. Just my opinions by the way, since I live in sioux falls, not trying to further any flame wars. I usually lurk on Badweb, but when my town comes up I gotta say something don't I? Also, thanks for posting that video Ft, now I can take out that wad I just put in the closet and fold it properly! | ||

What is actually funny about that Bill Whittle video (and I have no idea if the guy is a complete douche canoe)... is that there was this show that these people/ families would sign up to do a frontier lifestyle for a year (build their own cabins, raise and kill their own livestock, etc.) A lot of them could not do it... but it used to be on PBS... cool thing to watch. And, actually, that is how the majority of the world lives. | ||

Cabin hell. Most of these people couldn't put in a solid 8 hours of work in one day. I encountered spoiled brats like this when I was a store manager for A&F. I was tasked with hiring kids from the local Ivy League school. The thought was that if they worked there, they would get their friends to shop there. The problem was, they didn't really want jobs. Those that did agree to work were some of the laziest, least effective wastes of good oxygen on two legs. They were just waiting to graduate and assume their jobs. Nothing like being informed by these snots that their FIRST job out of college was going to pay three times what you currently made.  Little Johnny and June OWS has been told their entire lives that they are special. That if they just graduated college they'd have a 6 digit income, house, car, etc. Their parents have it. Why shouldn't they? The problem is that their parents worked to give them everything they never had. In doing so, their parents robbed them of the benefit of self sacrifice. The OWS folks need a good spanking, a bath, and to be sent to bed without any supper. | ||
