Timing is just about perfect . . . we did the area with the Porsche Club last weekend and I've been driving it all week . . . trees are at about 30-40% so the leaves on the roads aren't bad. . . .there, when you get near the parks, are deer everywhere and they are essentially tame. Caution Will Robinson.
Bring yer woolies. I ran the whole run today, and between running in the shade and the shadow of the clouds it got downright chilly - even behind the Concours' barn door fairing.
Hammer time as always was a bitchin' ride. Great roads, good food, and many laughs. If you weren't there you missed out. The weather couldn't have been more perfect. Hope it cooperates for tomorrow's run. Thanks Mr. Hammer.
perfect day . . . except for the fatal accident that I passed on the way and LOTS of deer hiding in the woods . . it's a picture perfect fall day in the Hudson Valley.
I'd say the group was 20, perhaps a few more, by the time the Perkins Drive road to the tower opened . . . great group and they'll have a great time.
I had a bunch on tap today . . went to visit, share a few tales, eat donuts and wish'em well. They are in good hands and will have a ball.
Great Day. Got home at 6:30. Thanks to all that helped put this together again. Photos to follow. My rear tire is toast after today. Had to take it easy on the way home. It was down to the steel belt at the BBQ place.
