Blake, yes it was THAT kind of port. The S2 makes me an Elitist? Good, but please add to that judgemental. What are my roots? Folly? Bantor? |

Eight hour days? I just started those three years ago. Before that, it was 16-20 hour days, just enough sleep to not die and be back to work. Some weekends, I would literally work 12-9:30 pm, sleep two hours and go to work from 11:45pm-8am. This was Thursday to Monday. While I complain occassionally, I love my boss, my job and my coworkers. The CEO puts in 80+ hour weeks. Hell, she has a fold out bed in her office and sleeps here often. The VP is close to that too, but without a bed in his office. My direct supervisor works at least 60 hours a week and has been here for 18 years. Plus, they all routinely take their work home, literally and figuratively. They're always available in a crisis, both personal and work related. They're all well paid, have nice houses, new cars and are all down-to-Earth. They have also worked to build the company from the ground up. They deserve what they have. Just like these OWL people deserve what they have... |

It's very common for execs. to put in those kinds of hours in my experience. It's easy to claim they are overpaid, but few people are willing to make the sacrifices that they have. BTW, many won't believe this, but I've worked desk jobs and various manual labor jobs; I've never been so exhausted as after a hard day using your mind driving a keyboard. Exterior house painting comes in a close second, especially when you have a day that involves a lot of work on a 40 foot ladder. |

I make more than everybody at my company except the owners. Why? I am available 24/7. I dispatch trucks. I drive trucks. I manage payroll disputes. I am in charge of safety. I work AT MINIMUM 50 hours per week. I do not get paid overtime, it's all straight time. Transportation employees are exempt from overtime. You know how many times I have stood in front of the labor board in California because idiots SUE the company for overtime that they aren't eligible for? We never lose those cases. And yet they keep coming. I have a word for the people who watch the clock and disappear at 17:00:01.... "SLACKERS" I'm here before they get here, and I'm still here when they leave, and when I go home I have my remote terminal logged in, the main customer and dispatch lines roll directly over to my cell phone if they don't get answered right away, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I answer directly for each and every problem that arises and the solutions are my responsibility. When the government takes $500 a week out of my pay, I just keep going. Ex-con, high school dropout in upper management... based 100% on my skills and merit. Nobody owes me anything. Likewise, I don't owe those LOSERS squatting in the parks a damn thing... I laughed my arse off watching them all get arrested. |

The funny thing is that while they are asking for handouts from the rich they are pissed off at the homeless who they are encroaching on taking advantage of some free food. Irony on so many levels. http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/manhattan/zucco tti_hell_kitchen_i5biNyYYhpa8MSYIL9xSDL |

As I wrote earlier, these snowflakes are actually learning a life lesson by realizing that the true bums might not share the same social zeal that they are infused with. |

Doogle depends if the front blinds are open. If they are, he gets up at 4am to bark at the early birds. Then he gets barked at. |

Intolertionist? Intolerathionalist? We need a new word. It's hard enough to spell normally. The new word has to be easily printed upon T-shirts. It needs to be simplified further. Distilled as it were. |
