- I hope Erik Buell Racing can show some of their wares at the IMS's this year, because that's the only thing that'll convince me to go ~200 miles to attend.
- I totally understand Barker's frustration over the 1125 stator deal. Court indicates Buell engineers developed a proper "fix" for the problem but apparently that is NOT the fix applied by HD dealers (or maybe it is?). Obviously Erik Buell Racing didn't plow blindly into 1190RS production incorporating a known problem into a $40k bike. SOMEBODY knows how to correctly fix this issue; there ought to be a way to get this info to the owners. Maybe there's nothing they can do to get HD to implement the "correct" fix, but I think a lot of owners would be willing to spend their own cash if they knew for a fact it would fix the problem once and for all. AFAIK, the only permanent fix known to most of us is to change to the 2008 parts.

who cares about the 1125 stator. When E B R comes out with their new affordable (to people like us) bikes no one will want a 1125 and trade it in on a new E B R.
This is the way E B R is fixing the stator, tempting people to trade them and get them off the streets and the new E B R's on the streets.
It's a good thing Barker's out riding today, or we'd be in for some major Rick-rolling this afternoon. His ~2009 1125RR teaser video was a work of genious.
ive actually never traded anything in. and dont plan to trade in my 1125's either. but then again i havent really had any problems with either of my 1125's. guess i did fix the clutch weep on the 08 once way back. and i MAY need a new thermostat one of these days if it continues to run cool.
but not much to speak of. i do look forward to seeing what ebr comes out with, but doubt im buying any NEW bikes anytime soon. but i may be checking them for sweet parts
and being pro buell doesnt mean i will buy things on blind faith either.
Its gonna be tough to get me out of my 1125r. I love this bike so much. 16k no problems. I would love for Erik Buell Racing to build something I cant resist though. Its not out of the question for me to buy something new. Looking forward to the anouncment.
