I used a center punch, then drilled with a 1/8" drill bit,then used a regular Torx bit. (Message edited by Jramsey on October 22, 2011) |

I think it was the bigger one, T-45. Wish I'd have thought like Jramsey and saved myself the cost of the tool set. Got mine at O'Reilly, Sears wanted $45 for the set I think., it was too much for me at the time. |

Sears has them too. Tamper resistant because they are used to mount ignition switch to reduce possiblity of theft. Not so you cannot remove them. Nothing bad will happen. (Message edited by Stirz007 on October 23, 2011) |

It would be a T40H or T45H.The "H" after the size means that it's a Torx security bit. |

I use a small strong screwdriver to lever the little post bit around til it snaps off, then a stock torx does the job. |
