>>>>>>For US civilians? I would assume so. I would also assume it was swept under the rug in the past. |

For anyone working for the enemy in enemy territory. I don't understand the hangup you have with the guy's citizenship. He's involved in waging war against America. Nothing else matters. As I've said before, the massacres at Kent State, Ruby Ridge, and Waco were MUCH worse in their implications than killing the jihadi in Yemen. Frankly I think it was a message that needed sending, that mere citizenship won't get you a free pass from being targeted if you are aiding the jihadi Islamist war against America. I'm all for killing off all the islamist jihadis we can. |

Frankly, I'd like to see certain branches of Islam declared subversive cults and outlawed here in America. |

Frankly, I'd like to see certain branches of Islam declared subversive cults and outlawed here in America. I think they would more likely to ban Christianity nowadays. I don't understand the hangup you have with the guy's citizenship. He's involved in waging war against America. Nothing else matters. I'd like to think the Constitution matters. You may be correct though. |

Buffalo? Long Beach? Off topic.. maybe. I'd like to thank the Brit, French, Italian, etc. NATO troops that have led to Gaddafi's fall. Americans that pay attention know how hard and how much you have done. Last report I heard, the US spotted the convoy with a Predator, and It and a French "jet" shot up the convoy, Gaddafi ran into a culvert and was dragged out and shot by local rebel forces. ( Please correct any mistakes.. haven't caught up with news today... ) There's some yelling going on, with Russia saying we've breached the Geneva Convention, and The US Admin taking full credit in bloodthirsty fashion for this great victory. Hopefully things will settle down, soon. ( yeah, right ) People are going to argue the legality on this for years. Saddam was captured by US troops and turned over to his own country ( albeit a semi occupied one ) for trail. Osama was not a head of state, and a recognized legit target/terrorist. But. Lt. Gaddafi was a head of state, an autocratic dictator, who took power in a coup. His overthrow obviously offends other autocratic dictators. ( hence, Russia's reaction... ) People are going to complain that we were involved in a barbaric act of revenge and murder of a "king". Damn straight. Deposed despots heads being displayed on pikes in front of the palace hasn't happened in a while. Not on TV so much. I've always favored the custom, as a warning to evil, despite the smell. Nevertheless, there will be flack on the legality of our actions and domestic hay made politically, in more than one country. ( Putin posturing for his audience, Obama for his, of the day, etc. etc. ) |

Unlike Iraq, this was a war about oil... For France... Libya rebels 'promised France 35% oil' |

"Last report I heard, the US spotted the convoy with a Predator, and It and a French "jet" shot up the convoy, Gaddafi ran into a culvert and was dragged out and shot by local rebel forces. " OK, NATO chased him into the open, then the locals caught up with him, and passed sentence on the spot. "We" didn't kill him, the Libyans did... Sounds more legal than the Kill List... |

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/gad dafis-death-breached-the-law-says-russia-2374250.h tml Let's see, Russia complains, China changes it's mind. Chavez calls him a martyr, but Iran's foreign Minister says, "Despots and oppressors throughout history have no fate other than destruction and death," which tells me he owed them money. ( actually it tells me Iran is trying to seem a legit regime. It is NOT ) Russia also wants to know it the billions in contracts with the old regime will still go on. Kleptocracy, isn't it grand how cash heals all wounds? Headline..."Kill Bounce: Obama moves up to 43% at Gallup" How much if he sides with the Iranian protesters? Bombs Syria? ( how much would a napalm attack on a tea party rally get him? ) Current US foreign policy is based on "what we can do"/what we can get away with. I bet Syria is safer than Buffalo. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/africaan dindianocean/libya/8843700/Muammar-Gaddafis-grisly -death-raises-questions-the-length-of-Libyas-revol utionary-road.html Is it a stupid idea that the rebels on the ground reflect the leadership? I've been unhappy from the beginning with our strategy. I don't know how many Libyans are dead because we didn't end this revolution the first week and let the killing continue with no decapitation strikes, just supportive ones. Seemed like bad moves to me. Not knowing who we were supporting is also an issue. Again, thanks to the Brits, French, and rest of NATO. Keeping a handful of jet fighters operational with your crushing social democracies was a hardship. ( An entire average European nation's airforce would be lost on one WW2 airfield in England. ) http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/44998270 Afghanistan to back Pakistan if wars with U.S.: Karzai Gee, that's worked out nicely. This was the righteous war, right? http://news.yahoo.com/clinton-warns-iran-not-explo it-u-iraq-pullout-135329457.html Clinton warns Iran not to exploit U.S. Iraq pullout Gee, I thought we were negotiating with no preconditions..... Asking them not to take over Iraq seems like a precondition to me..... Iraq was the wrong war, right? http://af.reuters.com/article/tunisiaNews/idAFL5E7 LN01Y20111023?sp=true Tunesia, Egypt, Libya, will they all go islamofascist? Under Saudi domination? Or Iran? Looks to me like war is coming in less than 2 years. Big war. |
