Vern - you got accommodation for tents and what not? Playing with routes - if I take a half day on Wed and ride to my cousin's place in Allentown, PA I can set myself up for a nice, easy 670 mile day on Thursday to may=ke it to Knoxville, lol. | ||

I'm planning on heading up Friday AM from Jacksonville. I was gonna leave c 0600 as I am taking the Blast & intend taking my time getting to Suches. My route takes me straight thru Georgia on A & back roads. I am thinking that I'll average maybe 40-50 MPH with stops etc' as I want to enjoy the ride. I'm generally out for BTF, but I am trying to finagle a brief trip there. I've got to be back in Nashville for a wedding on Saturday. Vern, are you having folks at your place Thursday night? If so, I might be able to run up your way, grab Friday and come back Friday night. I'd have to figure out a way to pack light. The new mule don't carry much. | ||

Well heck yes Mark.....I even have trees! We have a couple of acres of tent grounds! Fantastic - All I need is a rear tire, front caliper rebuild and my TPS reset and I'll be good to go. I'd have to figure out a way to pack light. I've learned a LOT on the recent trips I've taken and consider myself a master at taking the bare essentials - I'd be happy to look at your packing list and tell you where you can make room if you want. | ||

Jeremy I have been doing a layover BBB for Buelltoberfest since it started for the folks coming in from the North who are too far to make it there in a day. I have a tent I am more than willing to set up for you if you would like. Actually I have two of them so make Barker come. Thursday I usually have people popping in all day, we do BBB and camp, Sandy has done breakfast for us the past couple of years, and then Friday at about 9:00 am, stands up, because we're on to about a six hour ride to go where four hours could do. You folks coming in, if you would shoot me a PM so I can get a count and I will give you the addy and ph. Also, I have not raised the price since this started.....it is still free to those who attend.  | ||

We need to set up some meeting places and times since the accommodations and arrival times are spread out. Any suggestions? I was wondering about our arrival time for supper Friday somewhere. We should be in and have some float time if we meet at 4:00 to 5:00 for a meeting and meal. | ||

Staying at C3 central.We will definitely miss our hostess. I have ridden down to BTF for the past couple of years it is a great ride from M'Boro. Thursday or Friday... don't know yet. Hargis ride down with me and quit trailering that thang... I do have to say that the BBB sounds intriguing... | ||

Bring a tent Tom! Good food, cold beer, BIG fire, lots of BS, and sometimes it is even fun.  Am ride will be going the wrong way for the first couple of hours. Sorry. It is just the way things go when reading the map for Uly riding without my glasses on.  | ||

Spoke to Leslie at the skeenah creek campground today super nice lady. She said that if we can give an idea of our numbers there and our prefence to what area of the grounds we want she will mark it off for us. | ||

I am out...  I have no reason to complain. It has been a spectacular year of riding. Since I was not paying rent for six months I got to roam. Since I got my place now 1/2 of my savings is gone. Oh well, maybe next year... IF ANYONE comes through the Raleigh-Durham (NC) area on their way down, they are more than welcome to a spot on the couch. I am back to riding the bike everywhere to save on gas now that it cooled off a little. I am ecstatic that my riding season will not be over until... well, now, never. Hope to ride down to Miami for the Christmas break. Be safe everyone! No sacrificial Harley XR launches off of Wolf Pen Gap !  | ||
