$300 is quite a bit of gas. Do you really need to have this thing? Not being funny, but I like the fact that the only voice in my helmet is mine. The idea of somebody talking to me while I'm riding is a no flyer for me. If I'm riding with others simple hand signals suffice & if I have a pillion, all I want is for them to sit still & shut up. |

lol i feel you. my concern is a few fold. i like tunes and gps both of which my phone do. being able to talk with her not a huge priority but would be nice to help keep her awake as she was having trouble doing that when we went to north bend last month. i love my j&m but i can't get everything i need for 1 helmet for that price plus the thing is clunky and has cords... |

I got the Sena, and like it a lot. there's a good group by going on over on ADVrider. The Sena single kits were $149, dual kits were $259. you need to be a member on the board and message the OP of the thread to get that price. |

Of the Scala Rider or just in general? I'm with Grumpy for the most part but my oldest daughter has taken up riding with me and it's fun to see the ride through her eyes. I found two 3/4 helmets with Chatterboxes already attached, came with all necessary hardware and the original boxes. Got it all for a cool $100. Oh and I don't know any better price on the Scala. Sorry |

When my wife and purchased our new Nolan 103 helmets, I asked if she wanted to get the factory coms. For the sake of our marriage there are no coms. Being married 32 years does make one smarter. |

$300 is a great price for a power set, even with a group buy last fall they still weren't that cheap. And to the old farts who use hand signals, you don't know what you are missing! |

And to the old farts who use hand signals, you don't know what you are missing! Yes we do, that's why we use hand signals! |

I know that this is not necessarily what you are looking for (but honestly, google can answer that for you...), but I bought the Scala Q2 team set here last here when they were $169 for the set! http://www.motorcyclegear.com/parts/accessories/in tercom__communication_systems/cardo_systems/scala_ rider_q2_multiset_pro_bluetooth_intercom_boom_mic. html And after owning them, I will not own another Scala set ever. The FM reception is pathetic, the sound quality compared to other units I have used is poor, and the overall volume level is not high enough to use effectively with ear plugs. |

I have used the Q2 and G4, FM reception is better on Q2, sound quality and volume are fantastic on both, I can still hear everything clear over 80mph even with a loud 1125 exhaust. Speaker positioning is critical, if you don't have it perfect, you won't hear anything. |

we got our set on ebay, shipped was just under 300.00, used them for our trip to homecoming 2010, loved the comm ability, and listening to our ipod. i use it when i am one up when i ride to work to listen to morning news/music. well worth the money to us, we like to be able to talk, she knows when to shut up and enjoy the ride. |

Scala is coming out with a new unit soon. I found that the sound quality was infinitely better on the G4 than the Q2. |
