Well it's been 2 years in the making. Started out wanting to replace the Magnum with a larger suv, then it was a Mini Cooper, then a Cadillac CTS, back to Mini. Once we moved into the house I realized that I needed a truck. Been looking around for a few weeks and found this beast, a 2010 Silverado with a 4.8L, extended cab 4x4 with 16,000 miles.

Love it so far. The cab is quieter than the Magnum and I like the ride better too.

Good choice, it looks sweet! If you live in a house, you need a truck. Just no getting around it. I have a 02 GMC with 120k on the clock and I want to get another 80k out of it. But I was looking at Jeeps and Minis as well. I just love cars, trucks , bikes, sleds, etc. Unfortunately, I an on a budget, so another 5 yrs it is till I buy again. But good luck, I know you will be happy with your purchase.

My dad has a 2011 Chevy Silverado xcab in red and 2wd, 4.8 etc. About the only complaint with it so far is the lint collecting seat covers.
Only repair so far is replacing the rear brake drums.

I snagged a '11 GMC Sierra XCab with the 402hp 6.0/6sp auto WOOO WEEE! It didn't hurt me none that someone only had it for 4 months, put 5k miles on it, did a 5"/7" lowering kit, installed HID head and fog lights, and that it was WAY under book value because it had lowered suspension installed. It was on the car lot in Ohio for 3-4 months.

Yeah Toona I noticed that about the seats too already. I wanna find some fitted seat covers for it before the weather turns, as well as a set of good catch-all floor mats.

BLF, I've ordered a few accessories for my truck from www.GMPartsDirect.com. Lower prices than ordering from a local dealer, even with shipping.

They offer 2-3 different styles of floor mats.

Thanks Toona, I bookmarked that link.
I know what mats I want, the Husky liners. Sold them when I worked @ Summit Racing, and I've had them in every vehicle I've owned that they make em for.
