In short, looks like Jim may be in some sort of trouble or has just decided to let it disappear. The domain registrar bill appears to be unpaid and overdue.

Wow, I was not sure what the Sacboard is/was but it sure does explain the goings on on the Badweb site lately. After checking out the first page of past topics it's all very clear to me now. WOW

Tankhead,
I am not sure if your WOW comment is about how messed up you think Sacborg is or Badweb is.
Sacborg is/was a total bar room brawl with mostly nice people but some real Buell/Badweb haters. The fact that Badweb hosts a Sacborg discussion group says a lot about Blake's integrity. It was created to help them get back on their feet when their site was hacked. Amongst the thanks, was the posting on Badweb of hypertext links to pornographic sites by a particularly venomous Sacborger.
You don't know 1/8 the real story. It is fun to mock the Blake Monster and Walter Mitty and they certainly have their foibles. So do I. So do you. But not very many people have contributed so much to the Buell image and Buell community than those two (amongst others).
If you have your knickers twisted over R&P, then you should stick to the Buell only discussions.

Riendog. You could have stopped with your first sentence and I would have answered, respectfully. I have no idea what a SacBoard is, or who Walter Mitty is, for that matter. Don't know what SAC stands for or what acronym it is but after taking a look at that one page (very quickly) of SOME of the most recent posts, I can understand and empathize with the HYPERsensitivity of some on here (I quess you also based on your assumptions in your post) and understand (not agree) why people would be accused so readily for being a troll and or a bigot for asking questions. Damn shame. It did leave a bad taste in my mouth for awhile. I have never been involved in a dialog on the internet were so many people seemed to have so much IMMEDIATE angst and I found myself getting caught up in it but confused about (it's) origin. But now I understand why. Finally I just had to stop and ask to let it be. It was one of the most odd things I have ever been apart of. Though I have thanked the owner of this site a couple times for having the site. Thanks for the advice about where I post, I will ask that you respectfully take this advice, don't ever assume anything about me. Ever. Thank you, With respect and in health, Chris

TH: Both your posts in this thread are ambiguous and I have no idea what you are trying to say. And I have made no assumptions about you. The religious threads here don't interest me but they are hyper important to some so learn to live with it. Or not. I like the political threads as I learn a lot from them. I am probably not alone.

Well I do not need another Ulysses. Lets just say I will continue to happily lurk the quick board but feel my home is on big bad and dirty. Good luck with the sale of your bike. Hope to be having discussions about the AX soon. Ride safe.
Sacborg started with Vik and Choptop coming to ASBN in the bay area, riding with Buell owners. they went back to Sacramento and put together a Buell owners site, called Sacborg, Sacramento Buell Owners Group. Nice bunch of folks, and it developed in to an all motorcycle enthusiasts group, that turned out to not be as friendly toward Buell Motorcycles as it once started out to be. Still some nice folks over there, and great Motorcycle Enthusiasts. Jim does manage it, but the site has not been renewed yet, according to Jim. I sent a note over to Choptop to check and see if he had renewed it. So far, no answer. Badweb is still the Buell friendly site for all things Buell and Buell related. Not too many dedicated sites as there 0nce was. Also check out ASBN, Americansportbikenight.com, still meeting consistently each month, going on 14 years. We have never missed a first of the month meeting, and we are the largest, most consistently meeting group of Buell Enthusiasts in the World. Blake, thanks for keeping this site going. REX
It may have evolved to be less friendly but, even in their less friendly days, there were some great, and really smart folks, involved.
ASBN is one of the proudest associations of Buell owners in the history of Buell and showcases how a group that coalesces around a brand can turn into a powerful and amazing group of folks embracing all brands and styles. ASBN, in all candor, is amazing and proves that a "loose" organization can be the most powerful.
I have ben on this board from 2002 and every one got a long quite well for the most part. Now after the Obama election he has devided our nation so far apart that every one is just boiling inside all it takes is just a scratch and we all start spueing our hatered. I hope one day we can all heal. (just my dimes worth)
Been here since it was an e-mail group with around 20 names on the recipient list... '97? I've watched it change from a purist motorcycle forum to a political sounding board. At least you guys still talk about motorcycles(sometimes) and most of the political crap leans hard to the right(that's good). But still, there's Huffington Post for the flaming liberals and FOX and WSJ for the conservatives. With Buell only producing race bikes and $40K dream bikes at the moment I've been staying up on the motorcycling world through ADV Rider and good old fashioned motorcycle magazines. Couldn't tell you the last time I was on SACBORG but it looked like a ghost town.
