Accusing a BBQ fan of being a vegitarian is akin to calling Paris Hilton a nun. Jerry, count me in if you go next year. Maybe we could even get BluzM2 to go and have a Midwest contingent. |

There really isn't a huge selection in the area in terms of motels and such, but there is a state park not far if you want to camp: http://nysparks.state.ny.us/parks/133/details.aspx |

I secretly was going to show up but as expected, something turned up that stopped me. This is why I seldom say that I will "CERTAINLY" make it. Better to surprise someone that you actually showed up rather than the other way around. |

Well, I'm home. You guys that didn't make it missed a good time. The food was excellent, and the conversation was stimulated. We did short ride up to Bear Mountain which was fun, then went our separate ways. My adventure was just about to begin. I followed Froggy back to the Taconic Parkway, where he turned South while I went North. I got on I-84 and proceeded to run out of gas five miles sooner than I thought it would last. I managed to push the bike into a rest area, then I called Froggy to rescue me. He brought me a gallon, then followed me to the next exit to make sure I was O.K., then went back home, and I proceeded back to Massachusetts. There must have been a Corvette rally somewhere near I-84, because just east of Danbury, I wound up in the middle of a pack of 8 'Vettes of differing years (one was a '63 stingray). It was another memorable day, and I owe Froggy Big Time for the rescue. Thanks. |

John, You are continuing the tradition of always having some sort of drama on your trips! Sorry to hear that. Just add it to the list! Hope next time you have no surprises! |

It was definitely a much smaller turnout than expected, but then again, this was all about the food and not the company Hammer, I'm with you - I've ridden far less this season than any other before it. Crossing my fingers that we luck out with weather for HHR. Crusty, not surprised by your story but glad you got home eventually and Froggy was able to assist. |

Sorry I missed it, but I was committed to the Lost Wheels Poker Run up in Cold Spring, NY. Probably not far from you guys. This club lost a member ten years ago in the Twin Towers, so I felt I had to attend as the President of my own AMA chartered club in the region. Beautiful weather and a nice day for a ride, so I'm sure you all had a great time. |
