well, looks like a coworker is also going. he's going to have his Holiday Rambler diesel motorhome...trackside camping/parking! I'll be there, probably on my Uly, and I'll make sure to bring an old shipping crate tarp to hang on the motorhome. big 4x8 "BUELL" banner should get some attention...even if it is the "old" logo Leaving MD on Friday night after work... |

oh, and can an admin edit the title to this thread? add something to do with the races? it'd be nice to collect a bunch-o-buellers since we're going to be trackside....apparently trackside RVs are on the straightaway? coooool.... |

Going to the races at NJMP Labor Day weekend? No. I'll be at the races in Springfield, IL. If I could only see one race for the rest of my life, it would be the Springfield Mile. Every other race pales in comparison. |

Crusty, I've never been to see the Springfield Mile before but have heard plenty of talk about it. I use to live in Peoria and always go the Peoria National TT races there every August but since they no longer race the big twins, I've lost interest in going to that race. I saw Chris Carr race here locally this summer and saw him at Ukes Open House and he said he's retiring after the Springfield Mile this year so it will be kinda special for sure. He will be missed in the motorcycle racing world. |

NJ is a mess right now major highways closed and 100's of thousands without power most of the problems are north and central but check your routes and check airports if possible |

NJMP, AMA Pro Racing schedule not impacted by Hurricane Irene Millville, N.J. (August 30, 2011) - New Jersey Motorsports Park, including both Thunderbolt Raceway and Lightning Raceway, received no damage or flooding issues from the recent nasty weather thanks to a visit by Hurricane Irene over the most recent weekend. Both tracks have resumed normal operations and the schedule of events for the AMA Pro Road Racing Championship Weekend, presented by Team Pro-Motion, scheduled for Sept. 2-4, 2011 will proceed as originally scheduled. |

Camping at njmp, not too good from my past experience, bring an air mattress or foam pad. |

Roads were all clear last night, no issues. Dark, got here at 10pm...but no worries. If you're on a MC, get gas near the delaware bridge. Doesn't seem to be much out here at all, but then again I'm not out of the tent yet so all I know is I'm...on the ground somewhere at the track and it sounds like they're qualifying 600s right now. Guess its time to get up and find a bathhouse... |
