And mine! Bastards! As if they aren't getting enough, the scumbag GOP wants to revoke an old payroll tax break for the working man and steal more from us.

They won't consider revoking any old tax breaks for the super - rich, but your paycheck and mine are fair game! Wake up working class America, it's time to hang some politicians!

Spending less and less, on schools and roads and who knows what else, but stealing more and more. And the GOP is just as if not more guilty than the Dems or any of the other scumbags who are allegedly representing "us"

Rant over,discuss amongst yourselves... ; )

I got this e-mail last week and find it's an appropriate solution here...

If you can answer this correctly, you can answer the question on what action to take on raising the Federal debt ceiling.

You come home from work and find there has been a sewer backup and you have sewage up to your ceilings.

What do you do……raise the ceilings, or pump out the s#!+?

A reference to the proposed legislation would go along way in helping the rest of us figure out what you're talking about.

If you're saying they want everyone to pay federal tax, not just half of us, I tend to agree.

IIRC

there was a suspension of payroll taxes that expires soon,

when the government waste stops I would be more interested in paying a little more,
first the house needs to be in order and its far from it.

In my state NC the Dems have run it for about 80 years and had most of the state house positions before that. there has been a grand total of 35 "temporary" taxws passed under the Dem`s not one has sunset yet. we are still paying for the assistance to the "working man" to transition from the mule to the "Mule less carrige" also known as the tracror. What the Republicans are asking for is a step towards a flat tax the only true fair tax there is everyone pays regardless of income. i am one of Obamas rich I am a sub S corp and file as an individual for my fed taxes. So on the books i have 250,000 in "Wealth" I call it inventory and tooling to run my business. well thanks to you union types i am now having to shut down my business and lay off the two very hard working middle class workers that I have. I wanted to expand and give them some medical this year but instead thanks to Obama and the Democrats I am out of business.

I really have no problem with mine going up a bit. Hell, I deploy so much that I never pay any tax anyway. Which I dont think is fair at all.

I really think Neal Boortz is on to something with the fair tax tho.

He's blaming GOP for wanting everyone to pitch in more to pay for the massive check we wrote to big wallstreet execs (friends of the cabinet) and offshore banks. Plus all of the politicians paid to vote for brammacare and their pet projects.

I believe what he is talking about is a cut in the social security tax that obama put into effect last year. Essentially, you pay 6.2% of your wages to social security., and your employer matches that. Last yr obama made the workers portion 4.2% for 1 year.

So an old break it is not.

carry on

Please tell us what bill Bigblock.

I'd like to make one comment. That "employer pays" part of the Social security tax? it's a scam, and always has been. You pay your 12.4% ( up to 106.8K) and that's the truth.

If the employer didn't have to "pay" the 6.2%, you would "make" more. The whole thing was and always has been a con to make dumb people believe they are not paying as much as they are.

Part of it is accounting novocaine. If you don't see the pay, you don't miss it. You want REAL tax reform? End withholding. Having to write a check would freak millions of people out.

And I bet you a set of PM wheels that enough people wouldn't have saved up enough to pay their taxes to seriously short anticipated revenue.

So let me get this straight. NONE of you knew about the Payroll tax cut which cut your contribution from 6.2% to 4.2% which is now set to expire and the Republicans do not want to extend it going so far as to say that extending them will add to the deficit. I find that strangely hypocritical that it will add to the deficit, yet letting the Bush tax cuts won't help alleviate the deficit.
Taking a quote from the former moron that ran this County into the crapper "that's fuzzy math"

It amazes me how some people will blindly follow the GOP on their quest to do WHATEVER it takes to get some one from their ass backward thinking party back into the White House, all they while shoving up the American peoples @ss and you all bend over and smile. Unreal. Look up the meaning of Fascism. And stay the hell off my socialist roads if you don't feel you should pay for them

Some of us KNEW the 2% "tax cut" was a short run gimmick set to expire and didn't give it's planned expiration another thought.

I'd be willing to bet, though, that you'd be first in line to advocate that the rich "pay their fair share" by increasing the wage base above $106,800, right?

We don't have a revenue problem. We have a spending problem. I don't see any answers coming from the Progressives on that front at all.

It's not about the GOP or defending that party, brother. It is about standing up to the non-sense coming from the radical left that infiltrated the Democratic party over the past decade. View us in one dimension if you must to maintain that delusion of hope and change. We will still be here.

...And yes, I did know about the temporary payroll tax cut before it was even passed. That tax cut was bought on credit. So how in the world did you even begin to think that NONE of us had heard about it?

What Rocketsprink said.

Anybody else that agrees with the GOP on this particular item, well, are ya rich? Maybe ya not on payroll. That's it, make the poor and the working class pay for your darn bailouts. Right on.

Anyone who interprets this to mean that I somehow think that Obama or even the Dems are somehow great, or even better than the GOP really just doesn't know me at all or understand the least bit about what I am trying to foment here.

The fuzzy math is killing the working man and the economy.

Anybody trying to argue otherwise either doesn't get it or has an agenda as far as I'm concerned.

I was bringing this up as an example of what a bunch of lying hypocritical dirtbags the GOP is, just like the dems and everybody else in politics.

Credit! HAH! Bail out wall street and the banks on credit, we are the ones [paying. The banks won't even loan the money back out. Get it from the fed for almost 0% then loan it back to them at 5%. On the taxpayer dime. They are brilliant, I give it to them.

Obama, Bush, Whatever. Same economic B.S. in the long run.

An economic house of cards built on a foundation of sand. For decades now. It's a miracle it's lasted as long as it has, and that it has only dropped this far so far. Truly a miracle.

Wish I had the answers. I don't even know the right questions to ask.

Odd that some tax increases are good and others are bad.

I guess as long as the increase are on the other guy, they are good ones.

If you screw the "rich" it's good.
If you screw the "poor" it's bad. Simple.

Now the definition of Millionaire has been changed by Obama to mean the guy running the corner shoe store who has a take home pay below the poverty line. So take the term "rich" to be whatever the lier wants it to be.

The temporary SS tax cut may in fact be Obama's best move ever.

to borrow a line from the progressives, it just wasn't big enough to really stimulate the economy. just as GWB's $300 semi-bogus stimulus was too small to really make a difference. Also a "borrowed" "tax cut" and also poorly explained... though Obama is certainly happy to use it as an example of how good he is to the poor he has raised taxes on already. ( several times since his first year Obama has jacked taxes on the poor. )

Bigblock is THAT what you're talking about? The Obama SS temporary tax cut? If not, WHAT ARE you talking about? ??GOP wants to revoke an old payroll tax break for the working man and steal more from us. The shiny new SS tax cuts have nothing to do with the GOP, nor does their expiration.

Rocket... of course none of us knew about the Obama tax cuts. We're too busy clinging to our Gods and gun. ( or was it Guns and God? I forget, better look up Obama talking to rich SF donors about those common peasant types )

Now one plan from the Presidents panel on pretending to solve the budget includes taking away mortgage deductions. Some plans make it go away altogether, others just end the deduction for really expensive houses.

Depending on which plan gets adopted, the economic results will be severe. If I can't deduct my poor guy house, I'll have to raid my 401k and pay it off. That will "cost" the bank 2-3 times the loan cost. The results for the homebuilding industry will make the last bust look like heaven. We still aren't over that one.

I still have a hard time dealing with the government solution of 'spend, spend, spend'.

If I make $xx,xxx.xx per year, but spend that plus $x,xxx.xx per year, I can't go to my boss and take more money. I need to find ways to trim the fat...

Bigblock... I can't speak for the GOP, but conservatives would like you to keep pretty much 100% of the money you put in the payroll tax, so you can invest it, and actually have something to show for it when you retire.

What about, instead of bumping the worker contribution back up to where it is going to revert too, we drop the employer contributed part of it down to the lower amount and lock it in there?

Better yet, why don't we go back to the promise when social security was originally passed... that it will NEVER be greater than 1% of your income. That seems fair.

So the temporary stimulus of reduced social security tax is set to end and the lefties are blaming it on the GOP? Huh?

You folks need to get honest. That is ridiculous. It's not even income tax. It's one of your dearly beloved and sacred socialist entitlement programs.
