Anyone know of a compatible stator for an 07 Uly? Don't want to wait to get an OEM. |

Don't think there is anything that will fit besides OEM. 3-phase stators were used only on 2006 and 2007 Buell XB's. I don't believe they were used on any Sportsters. Try American Sport Bike- Al may have one in stock. |

Just curious: Why wouldn't you want an OEM? |

You can have your stock stator rewound, turn around time is about a week. |

I checked into having my stator rewound....it was more $$ than buying an OEM. Paul, I replied to your PM. The one that Lastcyclone linked to is the same one I mentioned. I believe it should work for our bikes. Try it out, but be sure to buy from some place that allows returns just in case! |

At almost 1/2 price, and with the prospect that Accel might be making a higher quality product....I'd be tempted to try it. My only concern would be the length of the wires- they look short in the picture. Would be worth a phone call. Use code THANK1 and get free shipping! The worst you could be out is return shipping! |

Very good, thanks Andy and everyone else. I would assume the wire lead is a uniform length that could be shortened if needed. My last call about spark wires to Accel cust. serv. was less than helpful. Any other ideas for a stator? I'm sure American Sport Bike may have one, but it is 6 states away and I really need one in the next couple of days. |

Yes, Accel is not very good at being helpful However, I called them this morning and the gentleman was SUPER helpful. He did not know, so he pulled one and got a tape measure. The wire leads are 9 1/4" from the stator to the end of the terminal. I don't have my factory one with me here to measure, but I can measure when I get home. That seems short tho... |

Good to know, I would think that should be plenty long. I don't suppose you inquired if it would work in the Uly specifically. |

Paul, Call Magnecor for the wires. They are in Michigan and you can have them overnight. Very good wires by the way. Check out their website http://www.magnecor.com/ nice folks to deal with. They make a Buell specific set. I have the 8.5 mm race wires. they fit perfectly. You could also have Al overnight the stator if he has it. You know the stock on will fit and work. The aftermarket unit may not. |

I asked them previously about Uly specific, and they did not have one listed. However, this model is a 3 phase 38 amp, just like ours, and had the right bolt pattern. The terminals look just like the ones on our Deutsche connectors (which you have to remove from the plug to route the wires through the case anyway). |

This thread is tricky...do I correctly follow that the 38A,3Phase Accel (30017-01) will fit my '06 Uly if I simply cut the plugs and solder the wires? HD still doesn't have a backorder date. AND I checked w/ American Sportbikes...they are backordered too...meanwhile...my bike's apart! Didja try it Andymelson? |

Google pinwallcycle parts in ohio. They always have newer bike totals! Also, assuming the magnets didn't contact anything, a local automotive electric shop should be able to handle it. I had one done on my dad's sporty for $50... |

Stud- I replied to your PM. I did not try the Accel model. I would have, but came across a fairly priced used stator. Seeing the need for it, I recently made some phone calles to Accel tech to verify some of the info. It's a bit uncharted, so be sure to buy it from a place that takes returns! |
