But with a phone that awesome who needs 4G. Lol Anyway whatever you do don't get the thunderbolt. I have a friend that has one and it is a piece of junk. She has nothing but problems with it and regrets buying it. |

Don't worry, I wasn't worried if you were ok, as you managed to keep up with me though the storm when all cars were pulled off the road. |

I have the HTC Inspire on AT&T. I have really enjoyed the options and speed over my iPhone. |

Looking at the current selection of Smartphones on Verzion I am not impressed, but then again VZN has always had lackluster and crippled phones. Only one Windows phone? Weak. I'm in a similar boat, my phone is over 3 years old, touch screen is shot, it overheats easily, slow, and is in general falling apart, but I can't find a phone that is a worthy replacement, I am hoping the new Windows 7.5 phones will win me over. |

I left veri$on and Crackberry Storm. I got an HTC 4g EVO through Sprint. I'm a happy camper again. I was always disappointed with veri$on, but, my wife had to get on the plank with me. We got 3 phones with more service for less than the 2 cost us monthly. veri$on looks more and more like hd all the time. |

I have the first model of the Motorola Droid and I was at the Verizon store checking it out against the HTC Thunderbolt and that 4G LTE phone is blazing fast compared to my Droid. I won't buy another phone that isn't 4G LTE. I'm waiting on the Motorola Droid Bionic or the Samsung Galaxy II when Verizon comes out with either one of those phones. |

Bionic will be out in a couple weeks and there are leaked photos of the Droid HD Which looks pretty cool, (but it prob won't be out for a while), Hey Froggy! What is so dissapointing about the Verizion phones? I'm by no means a computer/Sm Phone guru but I find my Droid x is a very capable phone and will perform virtually on par with my buddies I phone 4! He even admits (as a once incredible owner) that there are some features he really misses from the Droid platform. Why the hate? I personally think most of the phones out there are miles ahead (technically) than what we had just 5 years ago! |

Verizon has a history of crippling the phones, both the software and the hardware. It isn't uncommon to see the Verizon version have less memory, slower processors, crappier keyboards and so on. People will often buy unlocked versions of Sprint, Metro PCS, and other CDMA phones and then activate them on Verizon. Looking at the current lineup, none of the phones have the latest Android from the start, which means they are more likely to be older models. I don't even think any of them are dual core either, but I can't tell because Verzion does not have detailed specs listed for every phone. It is a shame, Verizon has the best network in the US by a long shot, but they always are 10 steps behind the rest of the world with actual phones. Funny thing is, their best android device can't place phone calls. |

I'm with froggy, when looking at a new plan last year it was between vzn and sprint. I went with sprint cause the phones were so much better, and got an EVO 4g. We don't have 4G here yet (for verizon or sprint) but I still love the phone. Just got my wife one too cause she wasn't interested in the new EVO 3d. I recommended the thunderbolt to my buddy cause he won't leave verizon, (as so many people won't) but now I feel bad. It was supposed to be a an upgraded version of the evo, but it can't come close to competing with my phone. |

ended up going with the droid charge. right out of the box it is way better then my droid 1.the droid bionic is set for release 9-8-11 according to verz employee. but i could not and can not wait that long with out a cell. the sales person was pushing all this extra crap. no i do not need scratch protectors, had my droid for 20 months no prob. they are a waste imho. no did not need the external battery. thats why they make car, desk & wall chargers. btw the charging cables for the droid will fit the charge. nope did not need a bluetooth already had one, dont care if my model is half off.ok ok i will take a silicone cover only b/c it will help keep the battery cover on which was constantly falling off my droid 1. this was the last of my family phone to fall under the new every two promotion. they no longer will be doin that promo. i think it might be a trade in program now. not really sure.check with your local verizon store to verify. buell on |

I have a Droid X2. Dual processor not 4g, but the 4g network doesn't look like it's to many places anyway. It's very fast compaired to my friends evo, but maybe if the evo got a 4g signal it would be different? I stick with verizon because It's one of the only networks that works in my house, at a beach that I frequent and a few other places I go. But that's subjective to where you live I think. |

I have the 4G LTE Verizon broadband modem card and it is lighting fast! That's the reason I want a cell phone with 4G LTE. |

I currently have a 3g broadband card and have been considering upgrading to the 4g but since 4g is not in my area yet, it has not been a big concern, Cyclonedon: Did you have the 3g version first then upgrade? Or did you buy the 4g from scratch? |

I just wished 4G coverage was available when I got my first 4g device back in 2007, never got to try it out back then, but it is amazing. 4G is faster than many home cable company internet connections. |

Cool! Guess I'll do the update when it gets a little closer to my House then! One thing other than the speed that is nice is the 4G card has more plan options! I currently have 5 gigs a month but the flexability will be extra nice considering now it is 5 gigs our 250 mb! Its getting closer though, about 50 miles out! |

Meh... you can all keep your 4g for now... my OGD1 Cyanogen 1.3ghz with 2800mAh Seidio battery is rock solid. Lasts around 30 hours and gives my laptop T1 speeds in the middle of Kentucky... Good enough for me. |

I've got a 4G HTC Thunderbolt (what else if you ride a S3?) and get 15MPS down loads. The real problem is battery life if you're in a marginal reception area, it seems to burn a lot of battery looking for a signal. The Google Maps/navigation will give directions via bluetooth in my helmet, while I listen to music. Got mine from Verizon as a "previously owned" with a 32GB memory for $119 on line. |
