...and raise you a motor. This may very well be the coolest Triumph I've ever seen. In talking with the owner last night at a local bike nite he was telling me it started with two '74 Bonnie 750's and a man (whose name I can't remember) in Michigan built it. The left side covers are made so that it can run off the front motor, the rear motor, or both as he now has it set up to do. The thing was in great condition. The cases looked factory as did the cam and primary covers. It is 8" over factory length, I don't know if that is wheel base or overall length. Here's some pics.     | ||

I saw this in a bike magazine back in the 90s, I think. It's gotta be the same one. That is some awesomely fine work. | ||

I tried different Google searches to find some info on it but all I can find are Triumphs using two motors in line, this one as you can see has the rear motor turned 180 degrees. My poor cell phone just didn't do it justice in the pics. The covers looked like they were made that way at the factory. I'll have to see if anyone with me remembers the guys name who built it. | ||

hey Kyrocket, I agree with you, that's a beautiful bike the cylinders are turned around backwards, a common-enough Turnip trick from back in the day - I've 2 or 3 fotos archived, but they're too big to load here....... (Message edited by firstbuell on August 19, 2011) |
