I saw a guy I HAD to wave to today. He was riding a little red scooter. OH he also had a sidecar hooked up to his scooter! While he was wearing a helmet the rider in the hack wasn't. BUT I guess it's had to find a helmet to fit a rather large shaggy white dog! Next time I see him I'm going to flag him down a get a photo. Both seemed to be having fun and what more can you ask for? BTW he did wave back. |

if you were broken down and needed help, they'd ride right past and leave you standing I would rather be broke down on my bike thank my car or truck. NOBODY stops to help when my truck or car breaks. I have had people help when my bike had issues and I always keep my mc ramp in my truck incase I see a bike broke down. as far as waveing, I do most of the time. But I don't care if people wave back or not. |

Had the Carrera out early last Sunday morning for a country ride. Saw another one across the intersection waiting for the green. Yep, we honestly enjoyed waving at each other. Motos, I can take it or leave it. |

Yeah I do. But not if I am clutching or laid over into a corner or otherwise busy with traffic and driving. Also I do not bother on Interstates or most places where the speed is above 70. If I am napping, no.....oh wait.....that is the other couch! |

One thing that I've noticed is that in mid winter, when the temps are below freezing, everybody on a bike waves to each other. |

I always wave when I see another. And I agree more people have stopped when I have taken a break on the bike than ever in the car. As for different types of bikes, we all riders no matter the style. The ones that dont realize that are just A#$h^%es |

I wave unless I have a handful of clutch, or if I'm trying to manhandle the Ural around a curve. I assume when I don't get a return wave that 1.) they didn't notice me (I've been guilty of that quite often) 2.) They had their own handful of clutch 3.) They're intimidated by a guy driving a sidecar. It's understandable... it is way cooler than their cookie-cutter $25k "custom" Harley. I especially make a point to wave at scooters. I think too many people get caught up in the displacement pissing contest. I say if you're on two (or three) wheels, it's all good. Except for bicyclists. I hate those guys. I never, ever, ever wave at those bastards. "Share the road" means I don't run yer ass over when you're on the side where you belong! Doesn't mean you can clog up the middle of the road at 12 mph and give me dirty looks like you own the frikkin' thing! Sheesh! ~SM (Message edited by Swordsman on August 15, 2011) |

I ride mostly on the back roads and I wave at motorcycles, scooters, bicycles, cool cages, even DPS officers. I'll wave at pretty much anything. Of course I really don't see too many vehicles on those back roads but I guess the real reason I'm a happy waver is because I was raised at a time in Texas when all drivers would give a two finger steering wheel wave to oncoming traffic. And back then everyone ended up on the side of the road sooner or later due to a flat tire so pulling over to help was automatic. Nowadays I get return waves about 50% of the time. Sport bikes almost always, scooters and bicycles rarely, DPS officers every time, and with Harleys it depends on which Buell I'm on. Doesn't matter to me who waves back, I'm just happy to be riding. |

I wave when I can, generally skip it on the interstate, if someone there waves I'll generally give a nod or chin up sort of thingy. I try waving at scooter riders, they don't seem to "get it" around here though... I've never seen a scooter rider wave back to me yet. I wave at cyclists, but they generally don't seem to get it either, except the folks in the canyons, they wave back sometimes. Wish I was fit enough to ride the canyons around here. |

>>>I ALWAYS tap the top of my helmet to remind them they forgot to wear theirs. Now thats my favorite thing to do while riding. LOL That's the "There's a cop up the road" signal. Your just likely confusing people. |

That's the "There's a cop up the road" signal. Your just likely confusing people. It's great for messin' with people though. I always wonder how far they will go before deciding to pick up the pace again. I have done that a couple of times when I see someone really hauling and I feel like messin' with them. |

Depends on what bike i am on because you can't cross wave to a harley if your riding a sport bike. I saw a harley guy wave at a scooter and the scooter guy gave him the finger. It is interesting to see what people do everyday. I just give the Nod |

i'll wave at anything on Motorized two wheels. about half the harley guys in town wont even look my way, but i dont give a shit, jokes on them. i guess their to busy looking big n bad. The kids on scooters are to scared to wave back and im OK with them keeping both hands on the bars. And us JEEPERS wave at each other to, except for this one chick who just looks pissed every time we pass. i SMILE and wave at her. some day she'll crack and wave back. |

YES! I always wave to anybody riding on two wheels. They are my type because they are taking a chance in life by riding a motorcycle or a scotter in a dangerous cager's world! |
