Warren Jeffs defends his sexual assault of children by saying "I am God." Sad to say they will probably give him life, which in my opinion is far too good for him. I think cutting off his member and stuffing it down his throat and letting him bleed to death would be more appropriate. http://www.cnn.com/2011/CRIME/08/06/texas.polygami st.jeffs/index.html?hpt=hp_t2 |

The ONE SMALL COMFORT in this - is to know that Jeffs is now a child molester and that means he's the lowest among the prison heirarchy. I bet within 6 months his front teeth are smashed out to prevent his biting when FORCED to service his superiors in prison. That's as clean as I can write it. |

Steve, he probably won't make it into general population. Too much publicity, and if something happens to him, the lawyers will grab hold of it and make a circus of the situation. A shame, really. |

I thought Texas liked to kill pieces of shit like him? Ill pay for the bullets or electricity. Up here in Alaska we like to bury those animals below the low tide line (alive, with their heads above ground) and let the tide slowly drowned them. |

Yeah, I am guessing the Feds will take custody of this turd becasue they (FLDSs) are prone to hop state lines and the Mexico and Canada borders to avoid prosecution. Unfortunately (and I have read quite a bit of non-fiction on the FLDS cult) some one will be there to step right in for 'Uncle Warren'. The way they groom their women to be indentured slaves and baby machines at 13 years old and then have the #2 wives on up collect as 'single mothers' from welfare is also despicable. |

Cults abound. Sex, power and money with whole scam kept going by thought reform processing (long term brainwashing). Koresh, Jim Jones, and Jeffs claim to be God, or divine, and allowed to access the flocks underage daughters as a command and a right. Everyone outside their influence is wrong, everyone inside the fold is right; everyone inside who becomes a problem, becomes wrong, gets shunned so their poison ideas don't infect or influence others and bring attention to the leader and the scam. Crimes are a matter of course in the operation. Jail does not cure these insidious types. They've been around since ancient times. Death is the cure, but not allowed in high minded society. |

Here in Utah we have the kingstons http://www.rickross.com/reference/polygamy/polygam y3.html they are as lowly as the FLDS are. Check this link out these guys are filthy rich also. I knew some of these people from certain stores and business and the people trapped in the clan were not allowed to work for anyone but the family and they would not be paid in real money for working say at the family c-store on the corner or the Ace disposal garbage truck company. They were paid in what they described as credits but not real money and if they wanted something they would tell the boss or bishop and they would go out and buy it for you. You couldn't have real money because you could escape from the clan if you had the means or the money. I think is funny they think they are doing gods work and are going against there own religion. In there bible god's law is also law of man. If it against the law of man it is by default that it is against gods law also. There is a reason the Mormons stopped practicing this aspect of the religion. They knew they would be persecuted for it. I remember being a young boy and we were at some weird park in the middle of no where and there were all these family's and there were a lot of girls all wearing the same kind of dresses and i asked them why they dressed the same. And she started telling me they had to wear them and they were a polygamist family. Before i could ask what that was some woman screamed at her and pulled her away. SO i went and asked my mom about it and she told me what was going on. Very screwed up stuff for sure!! |

Krakauer wrote a book about the double murders (one of them an infant they dismembered) the Lauferty brothers were convicted of. Crazy sh#t !!! Under the Banner of Heaven. It has the feel of his mountaneering writing puts you right in the middle of one of the fundamentalist Mormon cults. |

I guess Jeffs self-annointing as a lesser god still didn't allow him to break man's law. Not much of a god, him. |

Unfortunately, he will probably be held in a protected status in prison, so he will not even have to shower with other men, which is a real shame... he did officially step down from his position, but this will probably increase the trafficking of minor 'wives' into Mexico. Another good book is Shattered Dreams, by Irene Spencer. She lived as a polygamist's wife for 28 years in abject poverty in Mexico and finally escaped the LDS as an adult... but not before she had 14 children. She is a very good writer too. |

Life in prison would be far harsher than death. I have a friend who's a prison guard and guys like this have lots of accidents. As a parent I say life in prison unprotected after the family of the victims get some alone time with him. |
