Just wondering. I'm not sure what to think, but I know that we would not have a Congress and a Senate with elected representatives from every state if it was not important. Now, from what I can tell, important legislation can be pushed through Congress using a 12 member panel. Of course 2nd amendment supporters are "up in arms" over the ramifications this could pose to gun ownership.
But is this not eerily similar to how Hitler became a dictator? Set up some hand picked minions on Elite councils that push through laws that would never stand up to public scrutiny.
I know I probably sound like an alarmist. But this is something new, far as I know, and I was wondering if anyone else thought it was important...in a bad way.
How else does a community organizer operate? Obama the global warming magician wants to control the thermometer. Obama the mechanical engineer wants to control your odometer with green cars. Obama the doctor wants to control your health with his sphygmomanometer to check your blood pressure. And gathers other leftist control freaks like his self same self to ignore the constitution in order to reach marxist goals.
Heck no, you are not an alarmist. You are an aware person who recognizes the smell of manure when it's being spread around.
If you want to see how a one-party govt works, come to California. The Dems have a super majority and can pass whatever they like. The Reps are labeled obstructionists on those few things that take a 66% vote to pass, like a budget.
Jerry Brown just signed the "Dream Act" giving illegal aliens access to private scholarships. In a few months phase II of the act will allow access to public scholarships and grants.
well tom i hope by that little winking face you are joking , or from what i have noticed on this bored is that the people in this country can not think for thereselves and can not have there own opinion anymore.. and yes i am american and born here i just hate how people bitch and moan about what other people have to say, ( not saying that you are one of them) it is called freedom of speech.
Yes it was intended to be a parody of what some liberals have done in the past when BO had his policies criticized. This tactic was making a comeback a few weeks ago. I am joking with it. Some others have not been.
i only say that cause i was attacked the other day by SOMEONE they will know who they are ,when i made i comment . and it was not even racist or even close . i made a joke about what someone else said, telling them that it might be racist and then bam SOMEONE went off on me..
I guess to be more current I should have said that he was being a terrorist. That seems to be the attack in vogue to defend this administrations policies. My bad!
I didn't intentionally equate "black dog" w/ Chairman Obama. Dog has long been on the menu in Asia, and it is often said in some quarters that black dog tastes best.
Today's terrorists bring forth tomorrow's aggressors. Chairman O wants to keep up the fight on distant battlefields and bring it to downtown offices, voting booths, and the street.
Hell, I was referring to the first post. I didn't mean for my comment to be taken as a criticism of anyone's culinary tastes. I guess next time I go for that parody I better check that nobody has made any mention of any colors of anything anywhere in the thread.
Is there a certain color of cat that is preferable? The lady 2 doors down is feeding the strays, and I'm thinking of culling the herd.
The Soviet Union was technically 'democratic' in that every party member had the right to vote.... of course it was a forced responsibility with a sledge hammer of reprucisions for not 'voting' and the ballet was pre filled out - but at least you had your 'say' in government. Look for that model soon coming to America.
I think you'll find that almost all day to day decisions (some very important ones too!) are made by small 'cabinet' groups in government rather than discussed by all parties in open forum in parliament/house or whatever you want to call it where you live. This is true in Britain, France, Germany and of course the US. In theory, because you have democrastically elected the politicians, they can do thing 'in your name' without having to debate everything
If every decision had to be discussed and debated nothing would get done at all of course
Even our local council operates in the same manner now, makingmost decisions behind closed doors between 'cabinet members' only
I'm in charge of all the racism here... I must be notified in advance of any and all racist activity. Since that didn't happen, the statements seen above couldn't possibly be racist.
