Etennuly that is a perfect example of what weed does to people. The Life Priority part too!! HAHA So TRUE!! But SURELY some pothead's are more responsible than others and succeed in life and get "lucky too... but weed will still make you Beavis or Butthead - and slack off in many different ways. (more so than if you didn't smoke it) That Saturday idea is funny and so true but I think we need a couple hours during the week too.... isn't that called "Happy Hour"?? haha .. I knew of a couple places that served very nice free buffet. (2$ beers and all you can eat for free 4-7pm) "How about the triple threat... " If your gonna do something... might as well do it BIG!! | ||

Yeah, legalize and tax it. That's right, it will solve our debt problems........ .....hmmmm, the folks growing and selling it now do it illegally, make huge profit and pay no taxes.........what exactly is their incentive to play by the rules now?????? This whole discussion is just silly. War on Drugs = epic fail, and a costly one at that. Political mismanagement aside, as long as there is a market of stoners, product will follow. Regardless of the medium. I don't think it should be legalized either, we should treat it like every other invasive flora species. What you do in your home, or on your property I care not so long as it does not harm or otherwise negatively impact the public at large. Having said all that, to those that "believe" enforcing DUI laws with THC is the exact same as Alcohol need to get a huge clue..... And yes, stoners crash and burn all the time. I've been party to cleaning up several leftovers over the years, they crash, die, kill and maim just as well as the drunks. Let's just put it our kids' Lucky Charms and get it over with.......I mean their future is going to suck on ice anyways.....they might as well be happy..... | ||

I hate chiming in on this but here it goes... I have a co-worker that has been using since he was probably 12, he is 53 now,I have been working with him for over 25 years. His only problem is he sweats profusly, and I would describe his personality as somewhat paranoid and angry, yet witty,charming and able to understand complex situations and see through them very clearly. He has always held a job, provided for his family been very responsible at work and play, and I have not seen him make alot of the same stupid mistakes I have made. Some people have all the luck. His child bride is the same and also is very responsible and holds a well paying job in some computer related field, and has always held responsible jobs in small companies working herself into positions of importance. They are both better prepared for retirement then I am, have nicer material goods than I do and seem more ambitious and productive than me. Plus they seem to have a really sweet marriage relationship. I have seen the meth-heads, heard the stories, watched them come and go through the shops I visit, it is a sad situation and I would hate to see anybody get messed up in that stuff. | ||

Uly good point, however with money coming into the system instead of bleeding out the illegal growth and use could be curtailed with no expenditure of assets. well slowed not stopped and anyone caught with what we deem BAD drugs should get very stiff sentences from there on. | ||

Come on now, seriously, please explain ANY Federal, or State for that matter regulatory program that does not entail massive "expenditure of assets"? Let's look at this with our eyes wide open OK? If they legalize it, there will be a many, many paged document to go with it. Detailing what exactly will be regulated, how it will be regulated, who will regulate it, what kind of resources will be required to ensure the product's safety, how the tax revenue will be collected......need I really go any further?? If you think this "program" will come anywhere close to breaking even, much less be profitable for any Government........you are smoking way too much of the product. I am not for any plan that puts marijuana in supermarkets or other commercial venues for mass consumption. Nor do I think pot bars or boutique shops are a bithcin' idea. If you do, go to Amsterdam, have a ball. I also don't think we should be throwing massive amounts of $ at pursuit and enforcement of marijuana. If you want to grow weed on your back forty for recreational purposes have at it (IMO). Just don't go kill my family & friends on the highways or bring your "hobby" to work with you. Pot definitely has lost a lot of interest from LE agencies in recent years (Meth/OTC/heroine is where it's at now). I don't know what the answer is, maybe just let it fade away with the Boomers.... | ||
