I see on FBook that they also named the 1190RS as their 2011 Dream Bike. |

let's mellow on the bickering and enjoy the EBr accomplishment. Congrats Erik! I love the first pic blur and all - great shot capturing his startled happiness. (i hear a girlish scream too... and it makes me chuckle) Looking forward to many more years of his amazing bikes - this should just be the fist milestone for the new EBr!!! Hear hear. All Hail Erik King of Two Wheels! I like that red...wow. I like his enthusiasm too. He's just 110% all the time. A true American Pioneer. I like that logo "Fiercely Independent" I hope that never changes. HD was like the disposable 1st stage of this rocket...they gave him a boost...and now they can fall back to Earth while Erik Buell Racing continues to rise. This makes me want to jump around and holler...but it's too hot |

Ummm, Toona- no need for a "replica", just get the non CF body, tape the lights, and paint it #99's colors if you want... To heck with Gixxers, the 1190RS truly is a race bike with lights! I'm looking forward to my next issue of Motorcyclist- and looking forward to the onslaught of good press sure to come...

This is so cool ! I have never, in all my years, seen anyone work so hard, so passionately, be more focused or have more resolve than Erik has over the last 18 months. There have been a couple folks who have intentionally thrown roadblocks in his path and he's kept the positive mindset, stayed focused and did what needed to be done. The day he called me, very early in the morning, on October 15, 2009 to tell me that HD was dispatching Buell . . . my first words were "congratulations". I knew he'd do well whatever he did but I confess that I never dreamed I'd be so impressed. It's really amazing and I suspect by about 6 months to a year from now that many folks will be in awe. Nothing quite as fun to watch as a pissed off and crapped upon really smart businessman engineer when he gets on a roll. Good people . . . from owners and enthusiasts to machinists and designers have come out of the woodwork, walked away from better paying jobs to be part of what he's doing. His passion and enthusiasm is infectious. This is a very well deserved reward for an amazing person and engineer who . . .through many 7 day weeks has also been a great father, husband and friend. Well done ! Court |

Great news, more great news is on the way... A normal person would have given up around 18 months ago and talked about what could have been or what should have been. It is a true American Story. |

Awesome!! It really says a lot about how the motorcycle community feels about Erik, his dream and the team backing him. That bike looks awesome too! |

CONGRATS Erik and all of Erik Buell Racing!! Well deserved! Think about it... the 1190 ran 10th at Ohio on it's maiden voyage in what was basically stock form against the all the factory teams. You would never hear "...and Joe Blow had a great run in 10th on his off-the-showroom GSXRRXRR-R Kawahondahaki." Only Erik could pull off a feat like that. And still, on a weekly basis, people examine my 2003 XB9S and want to know all about it. And they are always impressed. Great things still to come. |
