OK, Thanks! I always use the NWS from Morristown to figure out what the heck's going on- grown to hate about anything else, especially the "weather channel"... FWIW, the little box with arrows at the upper left can take you about anywhere... Before any ride, I do check the NWS...

30" isn't enough, my main monitor is a 30" running 2560x1600 and it still spills over onto my other monitors.

I like this one, radar plus tons of local weather info. http://www.wunderground.com/wundermap/?lat=31.0790 5579&lon=-98.00009155&zoom=8&pin=Killeen%2c%20TX&t ype=hyb&rad=1&wxsn=0&svr=0&cams=0&sat=0&riv=0&mm=0 &hur=0 |

That will be even worse, most TVs are lower in resolution than most monitors.

No fun in zooming out.

Nope, just good old fashioned multimonitors I am running on just one 6870 now, and funds permitting change it to six 30"ers, but I rather spend the $10k on a new bike |

I run 5 screens and I think it's a reaction formation to all the days I spent with my first "portable" (actually looked like a sewing machine in a case) and the old IBM 345 laptops I used to carry on the Buell (well before others were doing the cyber-advocate gig) around the country . . they have the old teensy-weensy display. The displays now, both Apple and PC, are fabulous and cheap. |
