This monument is supposed to be in Elkhart, IN. http://www.flickr.com/photos/33243855@N00/23631696 15/ It would look nice with a Buell in front of it. Found on internet (so it's gotta be true): "The Civil War monument at Rice Cemetery in Elkhart is pictured. Mayor Dick Moore has canceled the plan to relocate the statue to Main Street after meeting “significant” resistance from the public. " (Message edited by jim2 on June 02, 2011) |

yeah, I am back in the game!! The Fargo Air Museum has had a Vietnam War Memorial on display. It's cool to be able to showcase some local Fargo attractions. If this counts, how about we get a picture of your bike in front of a flooding body of water. There seems to be quite a bit in our region as well as so many others. I think there should be some bonus points if you embed a youtube video of it showing how fast the water is flowing!! Good luck!

Yeah Biffdotorg!!! I looked up the air museum. Home of the real Duggy DC3. Very cool. I still would love to see that monument in Elkhart with a Buell in front. As for your challenge. I almost threw down that same challenge. Really. Can't wait to see the picture but I'm really sorry for all of you who have been impacted by the floods. Here in Texas we can't even get a drop of water. (Message edited by jim2 on June 05, 2011) |

Ok, I waited half the week. This pic is of the Red River of the North at Fargo. It has had a 100 year and 500 year flood in the past few years!! This year, our flood stage of 18ft was rocked up to 39ft before cresting. We were all well prepared and it is finally down to right around 18.99ft as of today. This landing happens to be one of our favorites as it leads to World Class Channel Catfishing! If this flies, your next challenge should be easy to get more people involved: Your bike next to your local Soccer Fields. Seems like we all have to drive the family truckster to get all their crap to the games on the weekends, and can never ride bike. So this time you get to ride the bike there!

Well, I gave you plenty of time Toona. Nobody playing today, I think the fields were closed. If this counts, then the next one needs to be a friend's Buell in front of a military base. Your bike doesn't count except for bonus points if there's 3 or more Buells in the pic. (Message edited by d_adams on June 11, 2011) |

It's getting warm here, so next up is your bike in front of an ice cream shop- must be a small, non-chain shop! Since a small shop is likely to be family owned, bonus points if you buy some ice cream and creatively display it in the picture. |

No ice cream eaters? Well let's make it a little bit easier: it can be a Dairy Queen (they ARE typically family owned/ran after all!), but it must then be one of the old school walk up kinds, like this: Bonus points if it has one of the old school neon signs, like this:
