AKA.... what you shouldn't do when changing a tire. Mikef5000 stopped by tonight to put some new shoes on his Uly and when it was just about all said and done.... I have the bright idea to show Mike just how little rubber is left once a motorcycle tire gets past the wear bars... and promptly stuck my box cutter in my thigh.... DOH!! I hate it when that happens! blood pics.... turn away now.... mmmm smells like raw steak...
looks like... Saturn..
Zippy the zipper...

The dumb things we do. So often. Bleeding's supposed to be good for you though, it builds character or something. And we don't have to pay extra for jeans with holes in them. |

Been there done that... sadly more than once. (Blade in the thigh that is.) Now that that's you're all fixed up, what did the tire look like? I've often wondered. I'd reconsider how far I took the tires down if it really does get very thin. |

There is some rubber left, but we all know it sure would not grip well! I think the danger of a puncture would be more probable than a blowout! Just my opinion? As for the scar......at lest you have a pretty good campfire story! |

I do this to myself every 7 to 10 years..... just glad it wasn't one of my hands this time. Just a FYI. According to the Doc that stitched me up... you only have a 6 hour window to get stitches. After that all you get is a bandage and sorry 'bout your luck.... I did not know that.... |

nah.... I tried super gluing it... but it didn't hold.... when I saw the Doc... She said it was to deep and not to do that again.... It sure did stop the bleeding quick tho... |

Look on the bright side if you need a new tetanus shot it now comes loaded with other goodies like no whooping cough. |

"I have the bright idea to show Mike just how little rubber is left once a motorcycle tire gets past the wear bars... and promptly stuck my box cutter in my thigh..." I keep my box cutters in my pocket or tool box, never thought about my thigh! |

Mark, next time you get cornered by a box cutter you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk? |

Mebbe you had watched "Platoon" the night before? Owie. Don't do that no more. My buddy Megan at Dual Sport Touring carries the official title at her business: "Runs With Scissors". Funny girl, got a razor sharp mind to boot- first girl I've met who has her racer's license... |

LOL- she probably took the short way up... Once upon a group ride up there, I had a need to head up to the front and slow things down (seriously...)- once I'd strafed the pack and slotted back in, Megan was right on my 6 with her CBR-1000... Good times. Didn't stick myself in the leg or injure myself in any way that day... |
