I too hate rolling road blocks. My unnerved g/f refused to ride the Dragon the next day and she rode n the back with me. We ran into a couple rolling road blocks on the dragon including 2 two-up soft tails with apes and the guys wearing nazi helmets. Yeah, frustrating, but I just pulled over and waited. As for the original douche canoe in my story, he was wearing a full face and full gear (as were we). Skills or not it was inexcusable. If I had seen him coming I would have blocked him. Not smart, I know, but that would have been my instinct. |

Why do you care if someone passes you? I understand getting upset if someone passes you in a dangerous (to you) manner, but the courteous thing to do is to slow down, move to the right and let the faster rider by. Pay attention to what is going on behind you and get out of the way. |

It's not about being overtaken - it's about being blindsided by a dickhead with no respect. |

Oh, I thought the jerk was the guy who wouldn't let someone get around them. My bad. |

dyna raises a great great point - people get passed by someone and that person is a dick. A person gets stuck behind others and THOSE people are dicks. Awesome double standards! |

The issue for me is scaring the sh*t out of someone by overtaking them on the wrong side. All's fair with your riding buddies and you all know the score, but I've seen it pulled and the person being undertaken has veered on to the wrong side of the road in fright. Luckily there was no oncoming traffic. If you do that to someone - you are a putz. No double standards at all. (Wish I could spell better first time.) PS - I don't mean you as in 'you' - just someone who does that sort of move |
