TEA party folks aren't anarchists (those guys are lefties). They want the government the constitution defines, not the one that the new deal, activist courts, and unwitting tools of the KGB have forced upon us.
I also strongly object to the use of the homosexual pejorative "teabaggers" to describe TEA party activists. Frankly I'm surprise the progressive community so easily throws this around with no backlash from the gay community. On further reflection, their hypocrisy doesn't surprise me at all.
The constitution clearly states the role of government. I'd be happy if they'd just stick to that.
The message of that video seemed to say that if the government didn't control every aspect of our lives, we'd all just die. I tend not to believe that. I think we, as Americans, are not the hopeless dipshits that the Somalis are.
First, the issue uniting non-idiot tea partiers is an overreaching "Federal Gov't", not state or local gov't.
Second, the issue for non-moron tea partiers is not that we don't want the federal gov't to do anything for us. The issue is that we want the federal gov't to do for us only that which the constitution as intended by its authors, allows.
Third, the issue is that our founders never intended for America to become a place where half of the people live of the other half free of charge.
I have a good relationship with all my neighbors but when I leave early every morning it sucks that I'm the only male in four homes at our intersection that goes to work each day. I read a report just today in WSJ that says the costs to the states for extended unemployment benefits is over $90 Billion. Many of the people that have received those benefits will never return to work to help repay the money they have received.
Face it, we've made it entirely possible for a family to skate through life on the backs of working people. Not only do they do it but they are creating generations of people who will gladly stand in line for a free ride. So much for the Great Society.
Wait a minute - if you teabaggers are so concerned about an overreaching Federal Government, then where were you guys from 2000-2008 when George W. Bush and his cronies were raping the constitution?
GW became president in 2001. Though I questioned and opposed some GWB policy, I guess I missed the raping of the constitution during GW's time in office. You sure you aren't thinking of FDR or LBJ?
THANK GOD OR SOMETHING WE LIVE IN AMERICA , we have the freedom to say what we want . Buellinmke , I thought you LIBS were looking for savility ? I pay my TAXES and PAY to send my kids to private school. Im a conservative ,you can BASH BUSH all you want . So where do we go from HERE ..
What do you expect rational thought and civil discourse from the left ___________ what evers. ? Who always throws the first stone or slur a lefty Student. Hate to say this but its about time to stop talking to them and start hunting them and sending them to Europe where they would be much happier. I think if they were there the rest of us would be happy as well.
Besides... they have plenty of lefty idiots in Europe. We're watching the Social Democracy dream collapse over there. It's not the "retire at 50 with full pay" that's the problem...it's the everyone retire at 50....
Simple math. lets make taxation 100%. Every penny goes to the Holy State. Now, lets redistribute the wealth so everyone makes the same. Paradise?
Never mind the obvious fact that If not working pays as much as busting butt all day... many would chose not to work. It's a truth that is just not in the vocabulary of the redistributionists.
It's just this simple. Average American makes 50k. The US govt. absorbs 78% of every dollar that is taken from working folk and passed on as social programs. So after the Great Distribution, the average guy/gal gets ( 50,000 x .22 = 11k. ) 11 thousand.... and starves. Perhaps the Gov. can cut costs, fire most of the workers that absorb that 78%. Lets say a full 50% is passed on. ( less likely than a Lotto win...but let's be generous with other peoples money, just like Congress ) So everyone would then get $25,000 a year to live on.
There is that little issue of the REST of the stuff gov does that now can't be paid for since everyone has half the money they one had.... and we HAVE to tax that half to do roads, police, defense..... you know, the stuff we all agree should be done.
capitalism = unequal distribution of wealth. Socialism = equal distribution of poverty....
Actually not the truth... equal ...except for the masters who absorb the bulk of the wealth, and are not affected by the law they will certainly write to exclude them. Look at the 2 tier system in the Soviet Union. China. Most of the 3rd world. Europe. Where they are still upset that a poor immigrant servant girl can accuse a "great man" of rape, and be listened to.
Lefties almost always go to personal attacks and lies. The basis of their religion is based on a lie.
Oh, yeah.... funny video. I laugh at anarchists too. When they are not the murderous commie cop killer types, Like Barack Obama's political mentors, and babysitters.
I imagine some teabaggers actually feel the way the idiots in the video portray. I wouldn't know, not going to the gay pride rally to talk to teabaggers. Is there a hanky code for that? ( I think it's too new for my copy of "Everything you wanted to know..." )
If Buellinmk has an actual point about Bush the Younger he fails to intelligently let us know. Is there a reason for anger that isn't propaganda used both by Bush's domestic enemies and the terrorists world wide? can't tell. I'm unhappy with several things Bush the younger did. Most of them have also been done, usually bigger by his successor. Thats a prime reason I'm unhappy with Barry.
Patriot act. ( needs examination, reform to ensure our rights, and a sunset ) Overspending. ( 8 years, over a trillion. vs. 1 year, over a trillion.. a year ) War fought not to win but to status quo? (2 wars each. total 4 wars.) etc. Is that it?
Wait a minute - if you teabaggers are so concerned about an overreaching Federal Government, then where were you guys from 2000-2008 when George W. Bush and his cronies were raping the constitution while vastly expanding the government?
Patriot Act TSA Homeland Security No Child Left Behind Medicare D Illegal wiretaps Over 5 trillion dollars spent on wars that have yielded nothing
Do I need to go on? Where were the teabaggers then? Why are the teabaggers just now complaining about overreaching government?
Also - I guess you teabaggers didn't get the memo - your fellow teabaggers are proud to be called teabaggers.
Dark Watch for the Violence of the left its coming soon. They are building up to it. Before the next election something will happen to postpone the election The left is already claiming we need a NEW Constitution and We should just cancel the next election since BHO is just the best president we could have. The last time we had this issue was when the Ayers and his fellow weatherman were bombing US public buildings and police stations. Currently Ayers and his wife Dornhe are appearing in the Soviet Union explaining why you and your way of life should be converted to Communism. They should still be in prison.
Patriot Act TSA Homeland Security No Child Left Behind Medicare D Illegal wiretaps Over 5 trillion dollars spent on wars that have yielded nothing
Patriot Act. definitely some Issues, now "strengthened" and loved by Obama. ( bad idea to increase govt. power )
Tsa. Completely agree. visible bandaid, ineffectual bureaucracy, over reaching power... Of course, now that that power belongs to Obama... it's Great!
Fatherland security. See TSA. bad idea, badly done, but now a great source of power for the new marxist admin. ( let that be a lesson kiddies. no temporary boost in power and loss of freedom, ever. The freedom never comes back, and the next group in DC will abuse it like the saints you gave your freedoms to never would... or would they? )
No Child Left Behind. Bad idea. Bad execution. gleefully adopted as a power grab by the dems, after complaining about it during the brief period they were not in power. No child gets ahead.
Medicare D. Confusing, well intentioned, costs too much, proof that Bush wasn't conservative. Bread and circuses.
illegal wire taps. Who? Where? ( but I'm sure a gleeful thing for Obama's crew if they could do it. ) Think this one's bogus. Did they really happen or was it all the NYT?
Over 5 trillion dollars spent on wars that have yielded nothing. I think that may be a fraction of Obama's campaign fund. Seriously, I'm the first to say fighting a war you don't intend to win is a mortal sin. We'll see if the "start a democracy in the region, that'll mess up the evil guys" tactic works. I have serious doubts, since the iraqi & Afghan constitutions suck. We should have given them a simple boilerplate and let them riff on the details, but they wrote themselves a dictator document, like all the One man, one vote, one time, hellish nations in the area.
We did free 50 million people on the Iraqi & Afghan fronts. ( keeping free is their job. something no politician of either party is willing to admit or say )
Yemen & Libya? so far just dead & wounded.
We're not that far off it looks like....
If you're just going to bomb... wouldn't it make more sense to bomb the evil leaders?
We did free 50 million people on the Iraqi & Afghan fronts.
Free from what exactly?
Most of the people in both these countries are now more unsafe on a daily basis than they were before We (the west) went in there unfortunately.
Iraq now has a corrupt western installed government which won't last very long, and Afghanistan is in an even worse state.
Most Afghans are tribal and really don't care who their central government is (and never have!). Government doesn't make any difference to the day to day life they lead scratching a living in abject poverty growing herion poppies. As soon as we leave the country it will revert to Taliban control so we have wasted many many US and British lives and many years fighting an unwinnable war (as did the Russians and British in the past).
If WE were truly serious about ridding the world of 'Evil leaders' and terrorist organisations then we would be bombing and fighting in Somalia against Al Shabaab (a bona fide islamist organistion that runs 90 % of this lawless country) than wasting our time in Libya/Iraq/Afghanistan etc.
However as Somalia has no oil we probably won't bother and will just leave it to the woefully underequipped and poorly trained African Union troops to try and fight them instead
Trojan, I have to disagree with you about Iraq. They were a pretty modern country prior to Saddam leading them down the rabbit hole. They have actual potential to become a rational self sustaining country. That's pretty rare in the middle east and might just be worth encouraging.
Afghanistan has turned into a cluster f*ck. We went in to clean out the Taliban and did that fairly well. Due to political hand wringing we didn't follow through with what Bush said he wanted to do: Root out terrorism where ever it exists. The Taliban fled Afghanistan and found a safe haven in Pakistan. All they have to do is wait us out, and that is exactly what they are doing. We announced a military surge in Afghanistan while simultaneously announcing the date we would start pulling troops out. We have just this week verified that their waiting us out will pay off. This isn't a strategic decision, but a decision based on political convenience. Regardless of what anyone felt about going into Afghanistan, our current policy is one of disaster. I might also point out that Afghanistan also has no oil.
I still have no clue why we are doing "non-hostile" bombing in Libya and Yemen. I don't even understand how bombing can be described as non-hostile.
