I am sick of reading about people feeling that the bike is overpriced for their preference. If I remember correctly, Erik is loosing money on each one at $40 -$45,000 and you want him to take another $20,000 in the shorts? Stop being so selfish and realize that these bikes are not only complete engineering marvels but a pieces of art. Have you seen one in person? If you are a true Bueller and not just a motorcycle rider consider the 1190RS to be a polite reminder from Erik and the Elves that the AX, SX and RX are on their way and it would be a good idea to start padding your bank account. |

I only turn wrenches because I got a digital torque wrench.

I would not say that the bike is overpriced at $40K, it is just out of my price range. It is probably the best bang for the racing buck... and that is not the route I personally can afford to go. Ditto...lottery winnings would go to the purchase of one. |

That does not mean I begrudge Erik Buell Racing or any one who buys it, I am happy for all involved. I look forward to future Buell purchases. This just won't be one of them. I get what you're saying. I find Erik an inspiring man, and I really want him to succeed simply for the human element of the story. I want the bike to succeed simply because I love cool innovative things. At the same time, I have no real interest in motorcycle racing, as either a spectator or a participant. I don't see an E B R bike in my future. That's fine. They should follow their dreams, not mine. If at some point their dreams include some sort of adventure tourer, I'll be thrilled. Until then, I wish them well and will enjoy following the story from the sidelines. |

torque on a wheel thats up in the air ? AND the clear sticker is still on the screen? (sorry just bustin chops). Getting the feel for things mechanical takes time, I actually shy away from things digital. As for the price of an 1190, yup-outta my price range and way out of my abilities to use it. I'm having too much fun with used XB's that cost under 10k for two of them! |

torque on a wheel thats up in the air ? The axle threads into the swingarm. He's applying torque to the axle, not the wheel. Nice tool, Froggy! I just have to get by with my clicker and bending beam torque wrenches. |

Yeah my torque wrench doesn't have a crafty digital display either. |
