You must of missed this line:
quote:build from a brand new off the floor buell M2 cyclone.
Built from a wrecked salvage bike it would just be dislike, but in this case he ruined a brand new bike. |

I'd imagine he invested in the bike bought the M2 and had idea of what he wanted. Not ruined. Sounds like they wanted brand new parts... drivetain etc. So I guess its opinion that he ruined anything. I bought a brand new M2 years ago. With the intent to cut it in half to rebuild into a S1. I ruined a M2 I guess also. But then again I didn't because I built a Buell right ??? |

So if I bought a Xbox on release day with the intent of destroying it in front of people, I wouldn't be ruining the Xbox? He ruined a new bike pure and simple. You did the same. I did the similar with my XB, but it wasn't anywhere near new. |

You'd think Redneck Engineering would supply a better fitting tank - the way all these guys mount the late XL tanks on these kits make the bike look really outa whack. It's a shame what happens to the 'donor' bikes, but it's their $ and their bike. He'll never see that 15G he's asking for it - lucky if he gets $7500. |

Like the guy who bought an AC Cobra for the motor and sold the rest of the car to a junk yard for $1500. He said he wanted "a really good motor". He got one. . . . dual Paxton superchargers and all. |

The engine is worth $1200. The wheels = $200 That's what this P.O.S. is worth. If he made it for himself, that's one thing but he fungled it up and now wants to make a profit? That's like ordering a $15 dinner, eating half of it and charging someone else $45 for the leftovers and the poop. Sorry for being harsh but remember when "chopper" meant you cut heavy bits off to make it lighter? Oh well. I guess that's where the cheap tuber parts come from and I should just mellow out. |

I'll keep my $15k. Yes, the gas tank does look bad. Heres a good one that costs WAAAAAAY less than $15k. Belongs to a friend of mine. A real hoot to ride. It's a 66, and a brand new tuber wasn't cut up to make it.
Yup, that's a Buell header that has been tastefully modified. (Message edited by gunut75 on June 17, 2011) |

See? that's what I'm talking about. Using what was available. Built for personal use, not some idiotic investment. |

I don't dig the tank set up on that other bike either. Like the paint, hate the body lines. I don't approve of cutting up new Buells. My bike was also an M2, still is I guess...mostly. it's got the heart of one anyway. |

That bike looks like feces. I can't wait for America (+ Canada in this case) to move past the age of the chopper. Everybody is a Jesse James/Tuetel/insert whoever your "custom" chopper idol is here wannabe, it's pathetic. I do appreciate bikes of all flavors cobbled together out of parts bins though, preferably under the shade of a tree... |

I don't get the whole desire for a hard tail...The only "chopper"/custom bike builder I really like is RSD I think his bikes look amazing. Besides a lot of them have suspension and out of the box designs. |

I would mount the tank different and I've never been a supertrap fan but other than that, it looks fun for what it is. |

Froggy to me ruined is meaning more less there is nothing left to show for its self. So yes if you destroyed your Xbox infront of a bunch of people. You now have nothing to show for. Thats not the case here. So as far as ruined ??? Thats up to you to feel the way you do about it. I did what I wanted to my bike to gain what I wanted out of it. This guy did the same whether you or anyone else likes what he did. |

I like bads1s post, and think its valid. Destroying an xbox to where it cant be used is not the same as building another working motorcycle from a motorcycle. Its not for everyone. And I, too, think the tank is a bit off. I love the style of the tank, but the mounting just doenst look right. |
